A twist in Fate

Chapter 21

After waking Adam up we're all back in the woods and are slightly grumpy because we still haven't reached the hospital yet, however we are deep in the woods but I can sense Shade meaning that we're getting closer.

We're all in human form and Tommy is still riding Wraith who seems to be getting tired and slightly annoyed at all of Tommy's tugging on his ears as he turns his head and slightly snaps at him.

I walk over to Wraith and pick up Tommy before patting Wraith on the head before he darts off and up a tree before killing a squirrel and eating it before slinking through the trees.

"Mummy where's Wraith gone?" Asks Tommy as he pats my shoulder.

"He's gone to get some better food." I tell him and he nods before his eyes widen and he lets out a squeal.

I look in the direction he points as a samll horse comes galloping through the trees and towards us, Cole goes to leap at it but I stop him with a glare as the horse slows down and walks next to us, it is white and dappled with black spots and is the perfect size for Tommy.

"Why is it following you two?" Asks Brenda.

"It's because Rae's a witch." Answers Adam.

I put Tommy down and he runs towards the smaller one who nuzzles him.

"Can I keep it?" He asks and I grin.

"I think it wants to stay anyway." I reply before I spell some glossy black reins and a saddle onto it for Tommy.

"I'm good at riding Donna taught me." He says with a small smile as he climbs atop the horse.

"Just be careful." I tell him.

"I wanna name him Shorty." Tommy says with a smile.

"Go ahead." I reply.

The wolves shift and we all pick up the pace as Tommy gallops through the woods as the wolves run in front and around us.

Soon we come out of the woods and come to a wide clearing which has a clear pool of blue water in the centre along with some huge mountains in the background.

"This place Is deserted!"

"Someone might be I those mountains."

"Maybe."

Just as we begin to discuss the area a loud roar sounds out and even I'm shocked as I see a massive green dragon flying in the sky. It roars again and swoops down and lands gracefully but the ground still shakes as the huge beast lands.

I see a woman climb off it's back as she approaches us I gently push everyone back with my magic.

"Please, there's no need to be worried we won't hurt you." Says the woman, she motions to the green dragon as I assess her, "This is Viper."

She has lime green hair, her skin is dark brown and her eyes are a deep emerald green, she's dressed in a pair of dark brown pants, a camo shirt along with a pair of black combat boots, I scan her and see she has a belt with an array of knives and she has a bow and sling of arrows over her back.

"You're telling that to the group who just saw you fly on a dragon." Replies Cole as he steps next to me.

The woman chuckles.

"My name is Araya, we've been waiting for you Rae." She says and I scowl.

"How do you know my name?" I question.

"You're our leader." She tells me as she opens her palm and shows me a green ball of fire.

"Our?" I repeat and my eyes widen as I see ten more dragons flying through the air before coming to land in front of us next to Viper.
