She's never given much thought to how she would die- though she'd had enough reasons in the last few months- but even if she had, she would not have imagined it like this.
She stared without breathing across the long room, into the dark eyes of the huntress, and she looked pleasantly back at her.
Surely it was a good way to go, in place of someone else. Noble, even. That ought to count for something.
She knew that if she'd ever come back to Forks, she wouldn't be facing death right now. But, terrified as she was, she couldn't bring herself to regret the decision. When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your expectations, it's not reasonable to grieve when it comes to an end. The huntress smiled in a friendly way as she sauntered foreword to kill her.
