Field Trip for Bio

Around six in the morning dad woke up, so I made him a quick breakfast. I hear his heartbeat and steps coming down.
"Who's there?" He calls, probably not remembering that I don't sleep much, well that's what I told him.
"It's just me dad," I say finishing up the eggs.
"Alex? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"
"Not tired, and beside, I woke up five minutes ago."
I turn around to see Charlie, in his uniform, sitting in the chair that has the table set. I dish him out and sat down as well.
"Dad," I whispered to him with sadness.
"What is it?"
"I'll be leaving soon to go back-"
"But you just-"
"DAD!! I'm on a mission right now, but I'm not getting the answers I need," I whisper to him only slightly telling the truth.
"Please don't go Alexandra! I don't know what I would do if I lost you." He cry's in desperation.
"I'm sorry dad, but I'll be here until the person tells me what I'm looking for," I say louder hearing Bella's heart rate go up a touch.
We heard her stumble along upstairs getting ready for school.
" I should go to the station now," Charlie says softly in sadness.
I sighed and called out to him, "I'll come by the station if you want me to."
"Please" was all he said before he walked out.
Bella's feet started down the stairs with a small smile that she didn't even notice.
"Good dream?" I ask still sitting.
She jumped a little from surprise of me calling her out.
"How?" She stutters nerveless.
"Your smiling. Oh, and I made food for breakfast so eat up."
