Memories of the Past

Laying on the couch in the living room, I started going through my blurry human memories of my Squad. They believed what my mother said was wrong, and that I would become a strong leader for them, and our mini family of four. But when Keith was killed during a mission, we requested a leave for a month to plan what to do and to plan the funeral for his real family and friends.

It pained me a lot on that day, and it will forever be engraved into my brain, even if it was from my human eyes.

"You guys go, I'll hold them off." A green eyes male with a army uniform on says softly through the communication device.

"No, I'm not letting one of my men, nor friends, doing it alone." I stated firmly but quietly, moving so I could hide next to the green eyed male.

"Alex, listen to me." He demands, "if one of us doesn't make t at least the can tell the others family, but if both go, they will get the cold government way. Do you want you father to cry for your loss?"

I shake my head for no, so he continues, "at least I don't have anyone waiting for me when I'll done touring."

Tears start to overflow and run down my dirty face, shaking my head in denial, "No you do have someone waiting, you have me! You have Shane, and Luke! You have US! US! Are you willing to break up our family Keith?"

"I'm sorry Alex, I love you sister, take care of our brothers for me." Keith says apolitically before running off.

And that was the last time I ever saw him.

When we realized that he wasn't coming back, all but Luke, was trying to go back to get Keith. But he knew he wasn't there anymore.

I guess it was a bond those two had, they were barely apart from each other, unless it was mandatory. I still believe that I could have done something, anything to get him back, but I was powerless.

Opening my eyes, I stared at a red eyed mist right above me. I tilt my head a little, seeing if anything would show as to who this man is.
