Chapter 6: The Weekend

I woke up tp my phone ringing. I open my eyes, adjusting to the brightness and checked my phone. I looked down to see I was still wearing my clothes from yesterday, an that mom had covered me with a blanket. The time was 7:10 am.....I got a text from a number.......I didn't know......
I unlocked my phone went onto my messages, and read the text. 'Hey Sherwin, it's me Jonathan. Buttercup gave me your number. Sorry If I woke you up or anything.'
I smiled and hugged my phone while rolling around in bed like a fangirl...er fanboy. S-should I reply....You know what I'm going to respond.
I text back 'Oh for a second there I thought you were someone else. You didn't wake me up, I've been awake for a while.' Even though I had only texted 3 sentences, I felt like I had accomplished everything in the world. I decided to take a shower. I grabbed all of my things and headed to the shower. Luckily the bathroom was in my room so I didn't have to exit my room.

I got out and still had a towel on my head. I exited my room to see if my mom was awake, but then I remembered that on the weekend she worked almost the whole day. I went into the kitchen and saw there was food into the microwave. I heated the food and began to eat once it was cool.
It felt so lonely without mom, but I knew she was doing this for me so I shouldn't be complaining.
~after breakfast~

I washed my wishes and placed them into a dish holder to dry. I had nothing to do, so I decided to see if I was able to text to anyone. I entered Kik and went onto my only group chat and sent, 'Hey anyone able to talk? My moms at work so I'm alone at my moms house with nothing to do. :<'
I waited a couple of minutes until Cbay text back, 'I'm here Sherwin, you okay? I'm gonna be leaving in a few but I got some time to spare.'
Me: "I'm just bored you know...'
CbaytheQueen "I guess why don't you go walk around, garden, cook, sports IDK!?!'
Me: I'll try gardening I guess...later though

I turned off the phone a rolled around on the floor of my room for 10 minutes thinking of what to do, that's when my phone rang. It was from Buttercup. She had sent me a message. I unlocked my phone and read the message.
ThisIsNotButtercup: Yo Sherwin you bored? I'm going to some random places my little sister wanna go u wann join?
Me: Sure anything to get me out of this boring house:,<
ThisIsNotButtercup: Yo Sherwin when I created your account did you check your user?
Me: No why?
ThisIsNotButtercup: CHECKKKKKK
With that being said I check my user profile that Buttercup created for me because I was too stupid and my User was, "Gay4Jonathan~~~~" I felt a little mad but laughed it off since I was able to change the user name.
~After a little bit more texting we ended up meeting at Red robins~
"so what do you want?" Asked Buttercup to me and her little sister Crystal. Crystal was 9 years old, she was wearing a white dress, with a blue ribbon, black leggings, a blue headband, and blue flats. Crystal had bright turquoise hair that reached her ankles, Blue eyes that faded into pink, lightly tanned skin, freckles that were everywhere, and rosy checks. She was sitting next to me. Buttercup was wearing converse, black jeans, and a bright purple sweater that was a bit big on her. "I wanna......BURGER!" Said Crystal while jumping out her seat. "What about you Sherry le~ Cherry?" Buttercup asked me handing me a menu. "Umm..same as your sister I guess.."
With that we ordered drinks and burgers. I asked Buttercup about that sweater. She said her parents 'Felt bad' and got her this as an apology gift.

Finally the burgers arrived. I thanked Buttercup because she paid for the food and drinks. We then left to an arcade to play and what not. Crystal won almost every game she played, till the point we were kicked out.
We went to a variety of places, and it was a lot of fun, but the last place we are going Is the mall, which we are currently walking to. I wanted to ask her if about her parents but I knew it would have been rude of me so I stayed quiet. We talked about things like school, but then she said "You wanna ask me about my parents huh? Its pretty obvious you wanna." I shyly nodded, feeling a bit bad she has to remember all those things.
"Well....honestly the only reason they came was for there reputation. I heard them last night. They didn't come to see me and apologize for what they have done, they only came to boost their reputation. Apparently their friends found out about me and that I've been alone for so long........they were furious at my parents, they thought no child should be taken out from the family or something..." said Buttercup taking off her sweater and throwing it into a trash can we walked by.
I felt so bad, she had suffered so much yet she didn't tell us a thing. It was quiet for a while I mean except for Crystal running around looking at things and dragging me and Buttercup to different places. "...How long....how long have you been alone?" I asked with my eyes starting to burn while looking at the floor. "I've been alone for 6 years." said Buttercup trying to pull her long sleeve shirt to cover her hands. "W-why haven't you e-ever told us?" I said starting t cry a bit. "...I didn't want to be a burden to you like I was to my parents...im sorry...I-I'm..s..sorry.." said Buttercup trying to stop her tears.
She quickly whipped the tears from her face and said, "Don't worry Sherwin...I'll talk to them...eventually" said Buttercup patting my shoulder smiling. "Oh you better wipe those tears away cause guess what....I invited Jonathan over, but he doesn't know you also came along!" "W-what!" I said quickly whipping my face faster to get rid of the fact that I had cried, so he wouldn't worry of me.
While we walked around I noticed since I brought up Buttercup's parents she's been a bit quiet. "There's Jonathan!" Buttercup said putting on a weak smile. I looked in the direction Buttercup was pointing in and I saw Jonathan on a bench playing on his phone.
"I need to use the bathroom!" said Crystal. "Ima go take her to the restroom, in the mean time go talk to Jonathan." said Buttercup taking Crystal by the hand and leading her to where the bathroom is.
I walk over Jonathan but I tripped a lot but, I managed to make it over to him. He had black jeans, converse, and a grey sweater. I guess he noticed me because, he looked up and immediately froze. "H-hi Jonathan...I d-didn't know you were here." I say with a smile, and I managed to control my blush. He kept staring at me, his face slowly getting red. I started to get weirded out because he didn't move just stare. I sat next to him and he continue to stare at him. "A-are you okay?" I asked beginning to play with my black pull-over.
"Hey guys!" said Buttercup with Crystal next to her holding her hand. "Yo Jonathan you okay you wont stop staring at Sherry the cherry." Said Buttercup with a smirk. "H-huh...y-ye I'm fine just a little..um...tired!" said Jonathan looking away rubbing his neck. "What we gonna do now!" said Crystal jumping around. "I d-don't know." I said Still feeling a bit nervous about what had happened.
We all ended up going places Crystal wanted and the last place which we are at is a clothes store.
We all had fun trying things on until Buttercup dared me to wear a dress. Even Jonathan was chanting "DO IT" with Buttercup and her sister.
Crystal had chosen was a maid dress. As much as I didn't want to it was either that or it was me having to confess who I loved in front of the school. "W-why am I the one to wear a dress!" I said holding the maid outfit in my arms. "As much as I hate dresses I'll do it with you!" said Buttercup trying to get me to dress up. "...fine..." I said while I entered the dressing room and closed the door.
Jonathan's Pov
"Your not gonna dress up are you." I said while we all sat down on a bench next to the changing room door. "Nope!" whispered Buttercup, to make sure Sherwin wouldn't hear. "CrystalTheBoss get your phone out but don't let hi know you have it out okay! Once he's out take lots of pictures!" whisperd Buttercup. I shook my head and leand it against the wall. "Jonathan...do you like Sherwin like...love I'm?" Asked Crystal looking at me with stars in her eyes awaiting an answer. "W-what! No...w-why would you think that!" I said trying to hide my blush. "Jonathan...don't lie its obvious to us that you do." said Buttercup playing some game on her phone. "...Maybe I do a little..." I muttered. "AWWWW!?!?!" Said Crystal very loud.
That's when Sherwin came out. "H-how long do I have to wear this?" asked Sherwin trying to pull down the dress due to how short it was.
I froe. He looked so amazing. Buttercup and Crystal kept giggling. "Buttercup why didn't you change!" Whined Sherwin getting back into the changing room. "Now I feel stupid..."
I didn't know what to do so I knocked on the door of the changing room that Sheriwin was in. Sherwin opened the door jus t a little and he was crying a bit. "Can I come it?" I asked. Sherwin then opened the door, but he had already changed...quickly..."I don't think that you were stupid...you...looked...cute.." I said Muttering that last part but unfortunately He hear. "W-wha.." We both stayed quiet until we heard Buttercup say, "Guys we should start heading home now...."
Sherwins Pov
We all headed home and I couldn't believe what I had heard Jonathan say...Those words kept repeating itself in my head until I feel asleep.
