Chapter 13: Demise and Sunrise

  We all hid on both sides of the bed, keeping extremely quiet. All of the sudden we heard David's laughter coming up the stairs. It scared Sam, and made Star and Laddie nervous, but felt really calm. I slowly got up and walked towards the door. "No! Tori, no!", Sam whisper-yelled. I looked at Sam and then kept walking to the door, and opened it. David wasn't there. Just then, we heard a motorcycle outside. It sounded like he was riding in circles around the house. I ran downstairs. No one was out side. Just as I closed the door, I hear his laughter again. A couple of long, silent, intense minutes pass. Still nothing. I look around, then I look outside again. I walked a few feet in the driveway and saw something red dripping from the tree in the front yard a few feet away from me. I look up, and what I see is horrifying. I see a mangled delivery man in the tree. I try not to lose control, or panick. Then I turn around and see David in his vampire form, smiling at me, "You didn't think that I would really leave here without you, would you?" "You almost killed the Frog brothers.", I said in a shakey whisper. 

  "Yeah, and once I'm finished with Michael, that little brat brother of his, and those two traitors, I'll be coming for them.", he sneered. "You mean you're going to hurt Star and Laddie? You can't do that! They're one of us!", I yelled at him. "They're also traitors!", he yelled and walked closer to me to hold me at arms length, "They conspired against my brothers and I. They left the cave and didn't come back for days." "I left the cave. Many times, but that doesn't make me a traitor. I still-", I sighed. I couldn't finish that sentence. "If you want to be with me, then you'll have to stay with me!", he yelled at me. "I-I have a life! I have a mother who cares about me very much! I have a father who lives in Florida who cares about me too, and a little sister and a little brother who care about me too. And believe it or not Star, Michael, and Sam care about me too.", I was exasperated from telling him all the people in my life who care about me. "Leave them all behind. Leave them all behind be with me for all eternity.", he then got really close, and his vampire face faded away. He leaned in and kissed me passionately. And then the moment was ruined by Michael who was driving back from the gas station. He had Nanook with him, and practically had to drag him inside the house and shut the door to keep him in there. 

  Michael ran up behind him and knocked us to the ground. David smiled at me with his vampire face and got up to turn to face Michael, "Hello Michael." And with that, he shot up into the night sky leaving Michael and I puzzled. 

                                             Star's P.O.V. (Demise and Sunrise): 

  We ran downstairs to see Sam and Michael's dog barking at the door. Just then Edgar and Allen limped into the house, slamming the door behind them. "What the hell are you guys doing here? Shouldn't you guys be at at hospital or something?", Sam yelled. "Our parents couldn't afford the whole hospital bill, so we had to come home. Besides, do you think we'd miss our chance to stake the rest of the vampire gang?", Allen said with a huff as he tried to dump his brother onto the couch. "You guys are either suicidal or insane!", Sam whisper-shouted, "There's three dangerous angry vampires left. You guys only took out one! You can't do it while you're still recovering for yesterday's battle!" "We want to be a part of this plan. After all, we came up with it.", Edgar said in his serious stern voice. I couldn't believe the boys were back. They were badly injured. Sam shouted, "You guys are going to get killed!!" "Where are the others?", Edgar demanded. "I don't know. I think they are following David. Tori went outside! She could be killed!", Sam shouted as he ran over to the door. Just then the door opened and I saw Michael and Tori run inside. "David is gone, but he'll be back for Tori.", Michael stated. Then I saw him look at me, then Sam, then he finally noticed the Frog brothers were back. "What the hell are you guys doing here?", Michael shouted. Tori scoffed, "You just couldn't say no to one beating! You should surrender now if you know what's good for you. Maybe David will show you two some mercy." She sounded off. I couldn't tell wether it was the bloodlust or the bond, but my instincts told me it was the sire bond.
