Naina sat lifelessly on the temple steps. She was trying to control her tears from flowing which were filled in her eyes. She did not want to go home ,no that was not her home. No one in her family except preeti really cared for her. Chacha and chachi were helpless and her father never cared for her. Taiji only knew to taunt her. Why was she paying the price of Arjun bhaiya's mistake?. Just because they got a good guy who does not want any dowry from her , they are all ready to indirectly throw her out of the house. None thought about her dreams and aspirations. A lone tear escaped from her eyes. She did not want to marry sharad, all she wanted was to run away from all of this to her sameer's arms and be here forever.
Sameer, her first and last love with whom she had broken up owning to her own cowardice. She knew she had broken his heart and inflated him with pain for no mistake of his. She would never be able to forgive herself for doing this to him. She knew sameer was acting to move on, she could see through his facade. Sunaina was just a impulsive decision of his. Their love was not so weak that they both can move on like this. She did not want to move on from the memories which she and sameer had made together. The memories are the only thing which keeps her alive.
" naina " the voice cut through her thoughts. She looked up to see sameer standing and looking at her confused and the concern was still visible in his eyes.
" what are you doing here? Why are you crying? " he asked her and she refused to answer him.
He sat beside her simply and did not speak a word.
" sameer go home " she said.
" you're no one to order me " he replied back to her rudely. Her heart ached hearing his rude voice. She had herself given up all her rights on him.
They both sat on the temple steps but did not utter a word. They continued to steal glances at each other.
" Naina, now tell me what's wrong? Why were you crying? " he asked seriously.
" Maine apna rishta tooda diya hai "
" kya? " sameer asked bewildered though he was happy that Naina had refused for marriage.
" I don't want to marry him. He does not treat me properly " she reasoned. How was she supposed to get adjusted with someone like sharad who does not care a bit about her when all this years she has gotten used to sameer's love and care.
" did he manhandle you? " his jaws were clenching, all ready to kill anyone if anything wrong has happened with his Naina.
" woh... " Naina hesitated but revealed to him how he humiliated her once in front of his family when he asked her to walk properly when her legs were broken. Sameer's hands balled up into fists.
" your family let him do that to you?" he asked angrily.
Naina smiled bitterly remembering how taiji had forced her to comply with the wishes of sharad and she was forced to walk throwing out her self respect.
She silently nodded her head.
" I bore everything but I could not after sharad tried to come closer to me in the cinema hall . I did not care about anyone and pushed him away. Without asking anyone I broke the alliance "
" taiji slapped me three- four times when she got to know about it and called me all the bad names she could. Pushed me out of the house and closed the door on my face " Naina remembered how angry taiji had gotten knowing her decision. She was thrown out without hearing any explanation.
" They threw you out of the house " asked sameer not able to believe.
" yeah " Naina confirmed.
" but since chacha ji was not there in the house, chachi ji had said me to go to swathi's house and promised to call me back by morning after convincing everyone "
" I came here to spend sometime alone before going there "
" so you broke your relationship with sharad because he tried to get closer to you? " asked sameer.
" no because I don't love him nor I have interest in marrying him " answered Naina.
" it's you or no one sameer " confessed naina firmly looking at his eyes.
She was stood up and was going away, sameer had held her hands in his all of sudden " then why are you ending this Naina when we both know that we can't move on or love anyone else in this lifetime " Naina shrugged to free herself from his grip but he refused to let her go.
" are you giving up on us without a fight? I know you don't want to break your family's trust but what about our love, our dreams? Is it easy for you to leave without me. I'm dying without you Naina. I'm tried of fighting now "
" life is not a fairytale nor it is a movie. Fairy tales does not exist in real life" naina reasoned.

" thoda himmat Karo Naina hamare pyaar ke liye" pleaded sameer with a slight hope.
Naina looked at his eyes which had a slight hope. The hope which had burned to flames were raising up again. All she wished was to run into his arms and cry her heart out for sometime. For sometime she wanted to have some solace. Would she be able to live without him? Chacha ji will be broken but eventually understand where her happiness lies.
She stepped closer to sameer "I'm sorry. I would never do this again ". She hugged him tightly as she sobbed and he happily hugged her back as tears sprang out of his eyes.
" dobara kabhi aise maat karna
na" sameer whispered to her.
" kabhi nahi. Let anything happen I will not leave you " assured naina and chuckled a little between her tears.
" stay away from Sunaina "ordered Naina after sometime breaking the hug.
" I broke up with her " said sameer.
" achi baat hai "
The gang had arrived at that time only to witness the love birds together again. Munna and pandit were genuinely happy that finally sameer got what he wanted. Preeti was about to dance after witnessing it.
They coughed a little to gain the attention of sameer and Naina.
" aaj toh party banti hai " teased munna and pandit.
" with one condition that you will not call that Sunaina your bhabhi from tomorrow " warned naina
" off course bhabhi. We did not want to even call her that, it was sameer who forced us to do that to get a reaction from you " explained pandit.
Sameer received a angry glare from naina, he made a puppy face and holds his ear.
"it's ok na Naina. Jiju kitne pyaar se maafi maang rahe hai. Maaf
kardona " said preeti.
" always be on your jijaji's side " Naina frowned. Swathi pulled her cheeks and the gang burst into laughter.
" Naina sunno jijaji ka phone hai. I will guard here. You speak " preeti gave the phone to naina. Naina mouthed a thank for preeti before taking the phone from her.
" toh " sameer spoke over the phone.
" toh " replied Naina blushing.
" sunno, we will go on a bike ride
tomorrow " offered sameer.
" take Sunaina and go na " taunted Naina.
" arre yaar, why are you still struck on Sunaina? "
" I will not sit on the bike where you made Sunaina sit " complained naina.
" I will get a new bike and not let any girl except you sit on that "
" nahi, we have so much memories with your bike, wash that bike two times properly before I sit on it "
" theek hai " sameer chuckled hearing about naina's childish demands. He would have never let Sunaina sit on his bike but just to get a reaction from naina he had done that but now he would never let any girl sit on his bike except his Naina.
" aacha Naina , your family are still angry with you?" asked sameer concerned.
" taiji and Papa are angry but chacha ji is happy. Sharad family had called up the marriage and are not ready to listen anything." revealed naina happily.
" what if your family pulls another marriage stunt? " asked sameer.
" Me and preeti will try to manage. If nothing works out, we will run away and marry but I will never leave you sameer " assured naina.
"aacha sunno tum kab mujhe Nani ka Saree pehn kar dikha rahi hoon? "
" bahut jald " replied Naina.
" hey bahut jald kabh aayenga? " sameer asked desperately.
" sabr ka phal meetha hota
hai " teased Naina
" Naina , this is not done" sameer said and whereas naina chuckled.
They ended the call after a long chat session. Preeti had kept the phone back to its place without anyone noticing it.
Naina slept happily dreaming of tomorrow and the surprise she has planned for sameer's birthday which is next week. On the other side, sameer could not stop imagining how beautiful Naina could look wearing his nani's Saree. All he could fantasize was her. After so many days, sameer and Naina slept with contentment in their hearts.
