I couldn't hear your own heartbeat, let alone hear him speaking to me.
"Liberty? Earth to Liberty?" Mike said, waving his hand in front of my face.
I snapped out of my trance almost immediately after hearing that heavenly voice I craved so much.
"Yeah, sorry," I muttered, feeling like a complete dunce.
He retracted his hand back to his side and I looked back at the floor.
However, I could feel his gaze on me, as if his eyes bore through my body, into my soul.
I looked up to meet Mike's eyes and staggered back a little as I saw his luscious, chocolatey eyes staring back into my e/c ones, until-
"Well, well, well. Look who it is. Frogface and Noodles."
They only called me Noodles because of my slightly curly hair.
I groaned and Mike rolled his eyes.
Troy. But he wasn't alone, for his other half, James, was standing next to him.
Mike turned to face the two other guys standing at the other end of the hallway.
"What do you want?" Mike warned.
Troy and his buddy began to slowly walk towards me and Mike.
I instinctively worried about Mike, but also myself.
I had been at this school for a good few years now, so I knew all the exits out of the school. Of course, so did everyone else. No doubt that if I tried to run, Troy or his lackey would catch me, and then I'd be a true goner.
Mike looked at me this time, and mouthed 'run' at me.
I automatically shook my head at him, frowning as I did so,
He glared at me, but I ignored it, as much as it killed me, and face forward, only to see Troy's face mere inches away from mine.
My eyes widened and I found myself turning and sprinting down the shiny corridor at a tremendous speed.
"Get her!" I heard being shouted, presumably by Troy.
I daren't look back, or I'll be caught and a knife will probably be held to my throat, so I kept on running. However, I could hear heavy, thudding footsteps right behind me.
I turned right and swung open the door to the nearest classroom.
Luckily, the classroom belonged to Mr Clarke, and I could hear his voice, along with three others.
No, four.
What?
