It was that time of the month for our beloved Eleven. Thank god Nancy explained to her what was happening before she could really panic. Thank god she went to Nancy. Nancy helped her out, and she made sure Eleven had everything she would need. And then, she left Mike to care for her, because she had a date that she'd been waiting a while for.

"Mike," El groaned as she hugged her knees on the couch.

"What is it, El? Cramps?" Mike came running in with a warm sock full of rice. El nodded and brought it over.

She thanked him while munching on a chocolate bar he had brought her. She changed the channel on the TV again. It was a soap opera. She left it and watched intensely.

She god bored quickly. "Mike, I want to do something." She stretched out on the couch, putting her feet on the arm rest. Mike sat down carefully on the edge of the seat.

"How about we play a game." El groaned indignantly at the idea of having to move. She shook her head. "What if I invite our friends over?" El nodded this time, and shifted again, so that her back was on the seat, and her legs were hanging off the back of the couch.

When Max and the boys arrived, Max immediately knew what was happening. That combination of things can only really add up to one.

"Oh, El, I am so sorry," she said, sympathetically. "The moon sickness... it truly sucks."

"Moon sickness?" Lucas raised a questioning eyebrow. Mike opened his mouth to explain, but Max cut him off.

"You see, every 28 days, for 3 to 5 days, a certain type of person is launched into misery, she began. "It's more-or-less based off of the lunar cycle, so I call it the moon sickness."

Dustin's eyes widened. "You're a werewolf? Both of you are werewolves?" Max burst out laughing, while Lucas, Dustin, and Will just continued looking on in confusion.

"No, but I'm a woman!" Max laughed louder as she shouted. The boys looked even more confused, and now concerned for the sanity of their friend.

"She's having her period, you complete mouth-breathers!" Mike rolled his eyes as he finally explained Max's joke. The three boys all looked mildly disgusted, but much less confused now.

"Stop yelling," El groaned from the couch. "My head hurts."

Max went over to help her sit straight, and then went to raid the cabinets for some pain killers. When she found some, she can bursting out and put the bottle onto the coffee table, and then rushed to grab some water.

"Here you go," Max said gently. "This should help. Just swallow it with some water." El nodded thankfully as the boys just stared in awe. They hadn't gotten along this well before. It was nice seeing them be friends. Maybe next time, they would all try to help. But that's next time. For now, they were just going to relax and watch some soaps.
