"Another week, another Monday. Mondays, the cancer of society. You are tired, sad and it just feels like the whole world is trying to fuck with your life".

Those are the thoughts that go through Ella's head every Monday morning. Routines suck. And even though it is only the second week of school, Ella's routine was already starting to become boring. But that is the sad truth. Everybody has routines, just some find them more boring than others.

Ella finished getting ready and went to her mom's car. After fifteen minutes she was at school. She passed the school's gates, or as the students named them, the gates of hell, and walked to the place where her and her friends hung out.

"Morning!" She said with a tired smile and shaky voice.

"You look like shit, lassie!" Said Steve. Steve was one of Ella's closest friends. They had dated for some time but then realised that they were really just friends. They worked better this way, at least. She knew she could always count on him and his bad jokes and cocky smile. He called her lassie because, even though she had dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, her pale skin and accent made her look like she was Irish.

"Well aren't you a sweetheart.." Ella said back, rolling her eyes.

"Yes, he is a true knight in shining armour." Said Margot. Margot was Ella's best friend. They were like sisters and loved each other dearly. If it weren't for Margot, Ella might not be the happy person she was.

"Shut it, Mar! If you want me that bad ask me out to dinner first." Steve said making an annoying smirk that drove Margot mad and that all the girls fell for.

After a lot of laughing and snarky comments, the bell rung. They went up the stairs to their class room where they found their other two friends, James and Connor. Their teacher arrived not long after and there began an hour and a half of boredom and suffering.

After dying and going to hell, only to come back to her boring existence, Ella and her friends finally got out of class.

"Well, that was boring!" Steve said.

"No shit Steve! 'Cause I totally didn't fall asleep in Margot's book just for you to stab me with your pen!" Said an angry Ella.

"Well look who has finally woke up!" This won Steve a punch in the shoulder by Ella. "Bad Ella!" Ella hated when Steve treated her like a pet but all their friends thought it was so funny...

"Look guys, have you said hi to the new student?" said Connor.

"I hadn't even noticed we had a new student..." Steve laughed.

"God you're unbearable Steve." Said an annoyed Margot. "I wanted to talk to her but I just haven't found the time to."

"Wait, isn't she that girl that always goes around wearing her hoodie? Have any of you even seen her face?" Said James.

"I think so. We should talk to her, maybe she wants to be friends with us."

"Well aren't you a ray of sunshine, Ella. What is wrong with you? You are being to positive for your usual self."

"Steven, didn't your mama teach you that when you have nothing nice to say, you shouldn't say shit?" said a sassy Margot.

Steve shut up and they all walked up to a girl whose face was covered by a dark blue hoodie.

"Hi! I'm Margot." She said joyfully. "These are my friends, Steve, James, Connor and Ella"

The girl looked at them and took her hoodie of her head. The sun shun on her face and in that moment Ella could see her. She had fair skin and freckles. Dark hair and the sweetest hazel eyes. She had rosy lips and wore no makeup. She was simply gorgeous. At least on Ella's opinion.

"Hi, I'm Diane" she said.

And Ella felt her heart stop.
