WOAH WE'RE ALREADY HALFWAY THROUGH 2018 WHAT THE HE C K

THAT MEANS IM HALFWAY DONE WITH THIS CHALLENGE THING OH J E E Z :'')))))

And if you are new here, you may ask "what the heck is this challenge you're talking about???"
Well allow me to give you a quick explanation!

There's an hecking good album by this dude named Tim Myers. The album is called The Year and features 12 songs and all them correspond with a month. As a fun challenge, I decided to create a drawing every month based on the song for that particular month and try to make the drawing with the mood of the music.

On top of drawing something relating to the music, I also pick one or more techniques or styles I'd like to improve on/try out. So in the end, it also lets me experiment and grow as an artist! :D

So for this month I made....

Another painting

Hey hey yes I know I did a painting for both January and May but digitally painting is super fun to do and you can do a lot with it!
"Good Days Start Here" (this month's song) is probably one of my favorites, if not my favorite song on the entire album. It just has a really positive, motivation feel and message to it! Times have been rough but good days will start here! :D

I listened to this song when school got let out for the summer and it was so nice walking out the doors into the sun one last time before summer began and aaaAAAA I love this song dudes

So in honor of summer and finally getting out of school, I decided to paint something that really screamed s u m m e r
It was also I chance for me to practice painting water, which I don't do that often!

Fact fun/warning thing: I actually finished this about a week ago but just never gotten around to post it. After school got out I had only a couple days to work on it before I left for a vacation (and I wouldn't have time to finish it up before July), so I rushed a bit on this one :/
I still am quite happy with the results, but if I would have had more time to work on it, I feel as if I would be better
AL S O I was planning on doing a speedpaint and uploading it to YouTube but my editing software was being a little weird and I didn't have time to finish the video. Maybe another month!
