❛ Everyone, at some point in their lives, wakes up in the middle of the night with the feeling that they are all alone in the world, and that nobody loves them now and that nobody will ever love them, and that they will never have a decent night's sleep again and will spend their lives wondering blearily around a loveless landscape, hoping desperately that their circumstances will improve, but suspecting, in their heart of hearts, that they will remain unloved forever. The best thing to do in these circumstances is to wake somebody else up, so that they can feel this way, too. ❜

When Tove awoke, she was in the arms of a stormtrooper. The first thing that she did, was breathing. It was long and hard but she was able to do so, and that mattered. She was no longer drowning in a pond. The stormtrooper that was holding her looked down at her and she was soon tossed onto the ground.

She wasn't dead to start, and they were still on the planet. Then she looked up and her lower lip quivered in fear. She had seen many bodies, most of them dead. She had seen many sobbing erratically over wounded and dead family members. She felt tears prick at her eyes as one trooper spoke, "Commander Ren, we found a stowaway."

She was on her knees, and she didn't want to know how awful she looked. Her own sister wouldn't recognize her. She then heard a feminine scream, it was her sister's. She felt everything rush into her head, Tempest White was deceased. She bit her lip, crying wouldn't do any good. She refused to cry, not in front of them. "I thought I told you to kill them all." hissed a gravelly voice.

One of the Stormtroopers kicked her back, she hissed in pain. "This one tried to drown herself, and we thought she looked dead already. So we thought to bring her here, no point wasting ammo if she's already dead."

Her head was still down and she knew she would be dead any second. She missed when her days were filled with fun, and death threats were nonexistent. She felt a hand wrap around her chin and it forced her to look at the person. Her lip continued to quiver, and she was terrified. She just wanted her sister to be alive, even if that was her only hope. Now she was all alone.

When she saw the man, he radiated fear. His mask was dark and the only present color other than black was silver stripes under the eyes, or at least where the eyes would be. The silver went all around his eyes, and not just under them, she soon realized. He let her chin go, rather hastily and told the troopers forcefully, "Put her somewhere safe."

She knew quite well that she shouldn't, but as the Stormtroopers lifted her and positioned her between their arms she screamed at them to let her go. But Commander Ren didn't even turn around. She tried to squeeze out of their grasp, but they had already closed the door of the black ship.

-----------

When he had seen her eyes, they were fear-ridden. They had never been before, her eyes had always been confident and playful. He wanted to hold her and hug her like he had done before. He wanted to tell her to stop crying, that's what he would've done ten years before. But now was different. Now her sister was a traitor, a dead traitor. But she wasn't. Tove White was the most stubborn person that he had ever met. He knew that she hated him, or at least she would when he took off the mask.

-----------

"Let me go!" Tove squealed. Soon enough they left her in a room, a locked room. And of course, there was someone in there with her. And oh my god he took off his helmet. She didn't think they were allowed, and even then, how would he get caught?

"Um hello?! Are you crazy?! Are you even allowed to take off your helmet?"

He shrugged set it down, "I'm not sure but-"

"They probably have cameras in every inch of this place! Are you mental?!"

"Probably, they probably have cameras."

"Steve used to say that," she mumbled.

He glared at her, "Are you blind?"

She looked up and him, "Maybe I won't be if you let me out."

"You know, I was supposed to tie you up..."

She smiled brightly, "I'm having so much fun in this rustbucket!" He scoffed and brushed hair out of his eyes. "I'm about to throw something at you, stormtrooper dude."

"My name is..."

"I don't care what your name is!" she shrieked and stood up from the ground, "I want to go home!"

"You can kiss life on Abafar goodbye, no one lives there. And Commander Ren requested that you stay here for a very long time." Tears threatened at Tove's eyes as she sank to her knees. "My name, My name is Steve." She looked up at his smile and he mussed with her hair, "Welcome back kiddo."
