He liked it.

That old broken couch.

Broken arm rest and broken springs.

Awfully uncomfortable but he preferred the broken couch over home any day.

The broken couch sat outside in the cold, fenced in by a run down, broken and forgotten fence.

The couch sat in some what of a forgotten junk yard. It was fenced in, and it was also across the street from several residents. When ever someone didn't want something any more, and didn't want to pay to go to the dump, they came here and they dumped it off in the forgotten junk yard.

Harry liked the junk yard because of the couch. He would bring a blanket and sometimes a pillow and just lay on the couch, sometimes end up falling asleep under the cold stars and frozen atmosphere.

Harry hated home, he hated to go home because of what happened there.

His sister was the "queen" of the house, she got everything she wanted without having to do anything. His parents obviously loved her the most and Harry sometimes swore that she was adopted and that his parents were sucking up to her.

Harry was often beaten by his step father as well, but he never told his mother that.

As far as she knew, Harry was into fighting outside of school and that's why he had so many bruises and sometimes broken bones.

If Harry was to tell anyone about what his stepdad did to him then he would probably be killed. His sister knew about it, but she was so spoiled rotten it was like a bribe to get her not to say anything.

Harry wasn't bribed, he was threatened.

If you tell anyone, those will the be the last words you ever say styles. You'll be dead before you know it.

Harry really had no choice but to keep quiet.

His room was small and probably the most private in the house. His sister's room was all the way down the hall and his parents' room was down stairs.

All he had in his room was a dresser and a mattress on the floor with a small nightstand next to it. He had one window that stayed open almost always because his room was the hottest room in the house.

During the summer it was too hot to sleep in even with the window open, and in the winter it was too cold to sleep in. The window would be closed and he would borrow some blankets from his sister if she was willing to give up a couple blankets from her closet.

This was just another reason why Harry preferred the forgotten junk yard over his home any day.

The junkyard was warm enough if he slept in heavy and thick clothes with a blanket or two. The couch was uncomfortable as hell but Harry rather enjoyed it. Falling asleep while looking at the sky and counting stars until he lost track and started over.

It put him to sleep and he was finally able to sleep in peace for once.

His parents never noticed when he wasn't home, and honestly they really didn't care.

When he was 6 years old he got the news that his parents would be getting a divorce. He didn't understand what that meant at the time but he soon found out when his mother won custody over him and he wasn't allowed to live with his dad.

After 3 years, Anne remarried and that's when Josh came into the house. And with him he brought his son, Alex.

Alex picked on Harry for four years until he moved out to go to college in America.
