Novelly and Harry bought their prom tickets that Monday during break. Everyone stared, and everyone talked. Harry felt self conscious about it, not wanting all the attention, but Novelly couldn't care less. As far as she was concerned, they were just going as friends.

"What are you doing for lunch today?" Novelly asked Harry. He shrugged his shoulders, he was planning on doing what he did every day. Going to the cafe to read and eat on the house.

"Nothing." He said.

"Would you like to help me pick out a prom dress?"

"I thought I wasn't allowed to see it." Harry was confused. He didn't know the first thing about shopping for prom... Or even shopping in general.

Novelly giggled and said, "No that's for wedding dresses."

"Oh." Harry awkwardly said.

"So will you? Your tux has to be the color of my dress anyways." She smiled, nudging his shoulder with her hand. Harry smiled, looking down at the ground and then back up at the beautiful girl he was so madly in love with.

"Yeah. I will. What color do you want?" He asked. Novelly shrugged her shoulders and then began to walk towards her next class, Harry following her.

"I don't know. I haven't even went dress shopping yet. I was thinking maybe blue... Or pink? What do I look best in?" She asked. Novelly was excited about going to prom, she's been dreaming of this since she was little. It wasn't her senior prom, no- but it was still her junior prom. It was still prom.

"You look good in everything, honestly." Harry said. Novelly blushed, mentally cursing at herself for doing so. But she couldn't help it, Harry's compliments were too sweet.

"Orange." Harry mumbled.

"Orange?" She asked.

"It's just an option. I don't know, I think you look good in everything." He shrugged. Novelly giggled and stopped outside of her third period class.

"Thanks. I'll text you before lunch and we can meet up?"

"Okay." Harry agreed.

"Okay." She smiled.

The bell rung and Novelly reached for the door knob.

"See you later, Harry."

"See ya."

Novelly and Harry drove down town for lunch, going to a dress store that had been made for occasions like Proms/Graduations, and weddings. Harry walked in with Novelly, looking around at all the vibrant colors and questioning why he agreed to come dress shopping with Novelly.

That's right- because he was whipped on a girl who didn't even like him as anything but a friend.

And she was his prom date.

"Hello. How are you two today?" One of the employees asked.

"Good. Just looking around." Novelly smiled.

"Alright, let me know if you need any help with colors, sizes, or styles." The nice lady smiled. Novelly thanked her and then dragged Harry to the back of the store.

"You said Orange?" Novelly asked Harry.

"I was just kidding-" Harry nervously stated.

"So I don't look good in orange?" She asked. Harry's eyes went wide, afraid that he said something wrong.

"No! I mean- yes you do! Shit, sorry um-" Harry was cut off by Novelly's laughter, making him raise his eye brows in question at her.

"What's so funny?" He asked.
