We both stand there is such shock and confusion yet in such relief. I don't know what to say, and I have a feeling he doesn't know what to say as well. So, we both stand there for about a minute until Louis breaks the silence.
"Hey."
"Um, hi," I say.
"Can I come in?"
"Sure."
Our conversation was very blunt before he finally walked in. I walk over to the couch as he follows and we both take a seat. Louis decides to take a seat right next to me on the couch.
"Louis, what have we done? Why are we acting like this? Why did we do this?"
"Well, Kate, I think the only answer I can give you is that all we've done is make our relationship stronger than ever."
"Why do you say that?" I ask.
"Come on now. It takes such strength and courage to write letters back and forth to each other. Imagine how I felt when I took your letters and changed them in my perspective. I ws so scared of what you would think or how you would feel. I didn't want to scare you even more away. I really believed that it could only make our relationship stronger if that's what I did. After I did that though, I just felt so relieved and-"
Without letting him finish talking, I cut him off by grabbing his neck and leaning in closer to seal our lips with a passionate and long kiss.
