I'm a different kind of poet because I've got a different way to show it,
I write down my emotions, thoughts and feelings but I'm gonna destroy any restrictions restricting me like ceilings,There's a man in the eye of the storm of lines, lyrics, phrases and rhymes trying to be a fighter because he writes poetry like songs so maybe he's a singer songwriter just trying to break free of his self doubt, that's what some of these chapters are about, see? — and yeah —
That man is me.For those of you just joining, welcome. For those who knew my previous works, welcome back.
On my previous account, I had many poems published about me, and the way I see things.
My one book, Poems of Hardship and Pain, won 3rd place in the TWC Biannual Awards. Wattpad deleted the account however, removing my books.I didn't want to write after that, but... Life is about challenges. It's about facing those challenges, overcoming them. I managed to recover some of the poems from a friend that I had sent them to. It's only a few of them though. But those poems I lost — those are about my past — and I refuse to be defined by my history. I'm not saying it doesn't hurt that I lost my work, those poems were about me — they were a part of me. But life is about moving forward. Onwards.
So I'm starting anew.
The first several poems are the ones I salvaged, in order of events — please note that those are about heartbreak and then different themes are after the chapter titled, "Resurrection".
Two reoccurring themes after that chapter are Cards on the Table and Fallen King. Cards on the Table are poems of my life from childhood, schooling and the feeling of isolation. Fallen King is about me trying to achieve something with my writing.Awards

Please pay attention to this:
I do say words like, "gonna", and "wanna". I do this for several reasons, the two most important ones being — those are slang terms which I find myself saying out loud at times because I am influenced by my surroundings — as is everyone else to different degrees. Also, because they are slang terms, it further illustrates my story of a young boy who grew up listening to hip hop when he was sad and that sparked a flame of passion which grew into this book.
So if you can, please take that into consideration and not mark me down for, "incorrect use of words". I could write it without the contractions and slang — but that doesn't feel like me — and I'm all about originality.
Finally, there are comma's at the end of each line until the last sentence when the entire piece is finished with a full stop — this is reminiscent of the way old poetry was published in books and how lyrics are written in modern times.Yes I say "gonna" and "wanna" instead of going to and want to — it's true and that's because I don't pander to anyone — especially not to you,
This is who I am and how my writing flows,
Just like how I don't support gerrymandering — I'll never stoop low and conform to pointless pandering.
