"Kaa-san...! Tou-san...! Tenn-nii...!" A four-year-old boy is running around in his night gown, passing many rooms to search for his family.
His breathing is short. With the smokes everywhere in the house had made him even more difficult to breath.
Fire...
Fire is everywhere. But the boy keeps running. "Kaa-san...! Tou-sa-!" "Riku...!"
The boy turned around and widened his eyes.
In a dark room lit by an angry red fire, a man in his 30s, run towards him in panic. "Riku, where's Tenn and your Kaa-san!?" the man asked as soon as he has checked on his son for any possible injuries and sighed out relief as he found none.
"... *cough*... *cough*... I don't kno- *cough...!*" Riku were unable to speak properly. The smoke is getting thicker and it's really not good for his health.
Seeing this, the man quickly picked him up and ran out to the door, out of the burning mansion and putted him down. The man gently held the boy's shoulders and lowering his body until he met the boy's red eyes.
"Riku, listened, you need to go far away from here and search for help."
"B-but I can't leave you...! Kaa-san and Tenn-nii is still in there...! I can't...! I'm scared...!" The boy cried.
"Don't worry. I'll go in there and fetched them up for you. You're my son. So you need to be brave. I'm sure your Kaa-san and Tenn would be proud of you because you're strong. I know you're a strong child...!" The man grinned widely and patted his head before going back to the burning mansion. Riku didn't know that it will be the last time he'll ever hear his father's voice and the gentle pat on his head so he believes.
But then, as soon as the man has successfully entered the mansion, the entrance crumbled with more fire burning everywhere.
The cold white snow that covered the ground are not as cold as what Riku feels.
The wide red eyes that watching the whole scene shined even more brighter orange before spilling with uncountable tears.
The gaping mouth that cried a silent voice. Screaming into the night sky.

The boy were none other than our cute protagonist, Nanase Riku.
He looked around the room and sigh while running his hand through his red hair. "That dream again..." he whispered silently.
The still-dark-morning had captured his gaze. The window with no curtain giving him a dark morning view. He stand up from his small bed and grabbed his long, red muffler and putting it around his neck. He approached the window and open it, allowing the cold but calm breeze to touch his face.
'If he's here, he'd scold me for sure.' he thought while smiling, eyes filled with longing, hurt and sadness. He really did enjoy the view with only street lamp and some houses light on the slightly dark morning.
