Dark...

The first thing Riku see is an endless darkness surrounding him. He is floating. He knew he's floating because of the lack of ground's presence. The only thing he can see is him, or rather the smaller version of him, watching Riku from above.

Suddenly his feet touched the ground. He was surprised that he didn't see it before. Riku looked around him, no one except him is here, he's alone. Riku wondered where did his little-self go?

"Riku..."

Riku startled by the sudden Calling. Looking around once more but he see nothing.

"Riku."

This time, Riku turned a perfect 180 degrees and see a redhead boy staring at him.

"Riku, listen here." The younger boy started.

Riku stared at the boy and noticed that the boy really resembled him.

"The time is coming... You need to accept it..." the boy said and hand over a guitar—that he was just noticed—to Riku.

Confused, he took the guitar from the other's hand. Just as soon as his fingers touched it, the surrounding changes...

"Inumaru... Touma."

The brunette nodded his head. "Yes... That's me."

Tenn walk towards Touma and sit beside him. "I heard from the nurse that you're the one who brought Riku here." Tenn started, calculating eyes looked at the brunette, trying to read his facial expression or body language that the brunette might pull off.

Touma on the other hand, aware of the other's intention, just remain calm, not breaking the eye contact. "Yes, it's true. I found Riku laying on the floor at the living room when I was... taking a walk around the neighbourhood..."

Well, taking a walk around the neighbourhood at night when everyone was supposed to be resting at home really does sounds suspicious but Touma had no other choice. Seeing Tenn looking at him with eyes full of doubt makes him freak out for a moment.

Before Tenn could even pronounce a single syllable, the door in front of them swung open, revealing a man in his mid-30s looking at the two teens with a serious face. Touma furrowed his eyebrows. He doesn't know whether he should be scared of Tenn's words or the doctor's serious face. Either of them were not good.

He doesn't want to be assumed as the culprit and he doesn't want anything bad happen with his childhood friend.

Both of the teens abruptly stand up but remain quiet, giving the doctor the space to talk.

"Kujou-san," the doctor started. Touma scowled as his name wasn't mentioned by the doctor but give in anyway and listen to the news. "Nanase-san has stabilized but..."

Tenn and Touma has already go back to their respective homes as it was already near midnight, intending to come back when the morning comes.

Unaware of those two, Riku has woken up since the doctor leave the room to inform something to someone outside of the room. At first, he was slightly scared when he couldn't open his eyes but quickly calm down after realizing that it was bandages.

With both of his eyes covered, his other senses start to become sharper. When he accidently heard the doctor said his brother's and his surename, he immediately perked up and focusing on their conversation.

"...I'm afraid he wasn't ready for this..."

Riku pondered for a moment. In the silent night, the words kept echoing in his mind like a broken record. What did the doctor meant by it? Riku knows that they were talking about him and the unsettling feeling in his gut really doesn't make him feels okay.

Why is it feels like-

Riku jolted up from his laying position. The oxygen mask quickly put off from his face. His hand immediately touches the bandages on his face. He couldn't see anything.

He couldn't see anything because of the bandages that covering his eyes. His eyes... What happened to his eyes...? He doesn't like the dark. He's scared...

'Tenn-nii!!'

The door swung opened with a loud bang, but it didn't startle the hypervilanting boy on the bed. The doctor quickly ordered two nurses to restrain Riku's hands from scratching off the bandage and hurting himself.

The doctor quickly took a tranquillizer and the last thing Riku heard is a soft voice of the doctor, wishing him a sweet dreams before he fell into a dreamless sleep.

The sun shone brightly at the morning, birds chirping outside, ready to fly off to the sky, searching for foods. Despite the windy autumn sent chill down to the spine, everything seems normal except for Riku.

He woke up early. Albeit, not so early as usual but seems like the nurse hasn't come in and wake him up yet, it still considered as early.

Riku sit on his bed. His only visible eye, staring down on his lap, seemingly in daze. The doctor has come in to his room earlier and opened the bandages. Upon seeing only through his right eye, Riku realized that he has change, yet another horrible thing come knocking into his life once again.

The doctor said that his left eye turned blind because of the alcohol his stepfather poured on it. Riku wants to cry, yet tears won't come out. He wants to scream on top of his lungs, yet he swallowed it bitterly. His throat still hurting because of lack of using and suddenly comes out full force.

Riku ducked his low. 'What would Tenn-nii say about this? Unsocial, mute, abused and now... half blind...? A total freak. Him compared to his big brother, is just like comparing a freak and a perfect human. The thought of it makes Riku's self-esteem decreased rapidly.

'Shouldn't the freak just die already...?' Riku thought bitterly while his hand touches the slanted bandages that now covered only his left eye.

Before more bad thought come into his mind, the door swing open and a nurse come in with a tray of food.

"Good morning, Nanase-san. How's your sleep?" the nurse greeted him cheerfully while putting the tray on the table in front of him. Seeing that Riku didn't move or giving her a response, the nurse's smile fell slightly.

"Well, it's alright. Enjoy your meal~" With that, Riku was left alone. He stared at his food for a while and look away to the window. He doesn't used to this kind of treatment anymore...
