More Than a Silent Treatment【IDOLiSH7 Fanfiction】

♪#2: Silent Surprise

The morning air are somewhat cold today. It's windy, fluttering his red muffler, dancing together with the wind. The journey to the school went smoothly today. No bullies lurking around that instead of relief, he feels it odd. And still, he can't shake off the feelings in his gut that something might happen pretty sooner.

Riku pulled up his muffler until it reaching his nose. Humming quietly to himself beneath the muffler. Trying to make a little bit of sound on this near-to-empty road.

Suddenly something-no someone pushed him aside making him stumbled before falling. "Move! You're on my way...!" the voice he greatly recognised, he looked up and saw Kano smirking at him and of course his companion behind him snickering and mocking before step in to the school ground.

Riku sighed and stand up on his feet with the help of the gate beside him. He sensed the students eyes staring at him. So he looked down on the ground, avoiding their gazes as he continued to walk, heading for the long boring classes.

Riku isn't one the smart student in the school. He's grades always below average. The only subject that he excellent at is literature and home economic. Since he loves to read books, and knows wide variety of kanji, and also being a slave for 5 years, he's expert on those particular subjects. But no one cared and he's okay with it. The last thing he would do is being in the center of everyone's attention. He didn't like it a bit. It making him feels like he'd done something bad and would get punish. Riku shivered at the thought. 

He stopped at the front door of his class. Standing there for a while, took a deep breath and slide open the door, bracing himself for the usual mocking words as his everyday  morning greeting.

He didn't notice some paper balls come flying at him and hit him.  "Hey, the Loser is here." one of his classmates greeted him as the other students started to laughed at him. "Ahaha...! I'd never get bored toying with him...!" "Ah the Loser still wants to come to school?" "I thought that he'd be in coma in the hospital...!" "It's best that way...!" 

Riku ignored them. He quickly walked towards his seat. Before he could even reached there, a foot stuck-out inront of him and he fall from it. Nose hitting the floor and blood running from it. He quickly took out his handkerchief and pressed it to his nose. Trying not to make the blood from flowing out too many. "Aahh... still clumsy as ever I see, huh, mute boy." the boy who stuck out his foot said to him but got ignored. As Riku get up from the floor and sit down on his seat at the back of the class. Face looking at the blue sky with no cloud in sight. He keep his handkerchief away after he feels there's no blood coming out anymore. 

The students keep bullying him verbally. Mocking him, teasing him and throwing papers at him until the door opened to reveal a woman with glasses. The students stopped and quickly run to their own seats after realizing it was their teacher. Riku sighed out relief. He had entered the safe zone.

"Class, listen up here! Due to the students exchanging event, some of your classmates won't be here and will be exchanged by the other school. Oddly, the entire 1st year exchanged students would all be studies in the same classroom as you so I wanted you to welcomed them warmly and treat them properly as it gives out our school image. And BEHAVE." The teacher stopped as she looked around at her students. Seeing no one comments, she faced the door and called them to coming in to the class and introduced themselves one by one.

Sseing this, Riku looked away. 'Another new students, another bullies, another pain and I'll be landing in to the hospital everyday...' he thought gloomily as he watched the blue sky above with birds flying everywhere. He envied the birds. They could freely flies around the world without anyone hurting them (except for those stupid hunters).
He widened his eyes at a particular name.
