"Riku."

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Riku quickly lay on the bed and drag the blanket until it reached his head. The best hiding spot that he could think about. He wasn't ready to meet his brother. He's scared about what could Tenn possibly say to him.

Tenn blinked and stood still on the spot.

‘Strange.’

His brother never did that before even when they were still small. He would quickly greet him back with his usual warming smile on his face. Maybe, he was just surprised but then, Tenn surely had knocked the door before he entered the room. Or maybe, Riku didn’t recognize his voice and just assumed it as someone else's.

Tenn walked towards his brother. Eyes suddenly spotted the untouched food on the table. Tenn sighed before put the fruits and a few books on the table beside the bed. He patted Riku's head and speak to him as gentle as he can, "Riku, it’s me. I came for a visit. How was your condition?"

When Tenn didn’t get any reply, Tenn think of something else to gain Riku’s attention. "I've brought a few books for you. You loved reading, right? I'll read it for you if you want to. Like at the old times." Tenn smiled fondly at the memories but quickly turned in to a frown when Riku didn’t budge from his position.

"…Hey… Are you okay?"

Hearing Tenn’s concern tone, Riku immediately feels guilty for making Tenn worried like that. He didn’t intend to make him concern of his well-being. So he slowly push away the blanket and sit, head still lowered, gazing at his lap.

Tenn smiled when he finally get a response from Riku. He sat on the bed beside his liitle brother, trying to make Riku feels relax. After all, in just one night, he lost one of his eyes.

"Nee, Riku. You know what," Tenn started as he glanced out to the window. While Riku just listen to what the other wants to say. Slightly braced himself for the worst. "When you didn’t appeared at our home after the fire incident happened, I was scared that you too…" he trailed off, unable to finish the sentence.

Tenn closed his eyes, trying to keep his emotions at bay. "Why didn’t you go back to home? Where have you been? Why won't you talk to me? There's so many things that I wanted to ask you. Why don't you tell me your story? Are you mad because I didn't search for your whereabout? Or do you hate me now?" his voice become slower and slower until the last question were only a whisper.

Tenn snapped his eyes open as felt a sudden light push and a hand twist the side of his shirt.

"I'm sorry… I'm really, really sorry… Tenn-nii…" Riku whispered. Tenn smiled when he feels a slight damp on his shirt.

Unknown of the two, a pair of eyes watched them quietly before turns away and disappear behind the door.

"Uh… Tenn… Are you… really okay…?" Ryuu asked Tenn for the nth times on that day.

"I am."

"I mean… really really okay."

Tenn glared at him, clearly annoyed by the same question thrown at him again and again.

After visiting Riku from the hospital, Tenn rushed himself to go to school before the bell rings. Luckily, he was spared a few minutes. When he stepped on the school ground, he immediately approached his friends who were still crowding outside, waiting for the bell to ring.
