Jackie remained silent for the first half of the flight as Jack's advisors went over the couple's schedule for their trip to Texas. Jackie would never admit this to anyone but she was nervous about going to Texas. It wasn't just that she was still grieving the loss of Patrick or the fact that she'd found proof of yet another affair her husband had been involved in. It was the fact that there was so much hate against her husband. She honestly feared someone would hurt him.

Jack shut the door as the last of his advisors left the back room. "Alright, Jacqueline. Let's talk."

She motioned to the chair across from her. "Then sit."

Jack did as she said and watched his wife. "What do you want me to say?"

"I want you to tell me the damn truth, Jack. You tell me you stopped cheating on me after the Cuban crisis. Good God, Jack. That's when we conceived Patrick. When I thought we were at our happiest. So when I find these letters in your drawer, what do you think I'm supposed to think?"

"Not that I'm cheating on you now."

"Then why do you still have the letters, Jack?"

He sighed. "I forgot about them, Jacqueline. I would have burned them with everything else if I knew they were there. But I'm human. I forget about things. I'm not cheating on you!"

She watched him for a moment before looking down. "How can I know that, Jack?"

"You have to learn to trust me, Jackie. I promise you that there has been no other woman but you. I love you. I want to be with you."

"Promise?" She murmured.

"I promise. I swear on my life. I am in love with you and only you."

Jackie looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Jack. It just all came rushing back to me. I'm so sorry."

He hugged her to him. "It's alright. I get it."

She sniffed and clung to him. "I didn't mean half the things I said."

"I know. It was just your anger talking."

She smiled slightly. "I have a lot of anger apparently."

"Maybe we should find an outlet for that."

She smirked. "I have an idea."

"And that idea is what?"

Before she could respond she was interrupted by a knock on the door by Clint Hill. "Mrs. Kennedy you wanted notice when we were a half hour away."

Jackie sighed. "Thank you, Mr. Hill."

Jack watched his wife. "Well?"

"Not something we can do now. I've got an outfit to change into." She kissed him briefly. "Later."
