November 1964

Bobby watched his brother with a smile on his face. Jack had gone upstairs around 10 to take a nap and five hours later they found him like this. He lay on the bed sound asleep with baby Charlotte on his chest. The three month old was curled up and smiling in her sleep, apparently content to be close to her father.

Jackie peeked over Bobby's shoulder and smiled. "They're precious."

He nodded. "I don't have the heart to wake him."

She laughed softly. "I'll do it."

Bobby nodded and watched as his sister-in-law knelt down and gently stroked Jack's face. When he stirred the baby let out a soft coo and Jack was quickly alert.

"Charlotte?" He lay his hand on her back and relaxed when she responded with a gentle snore.

Jackie smiled. "Hi."

"Hi...what time is it?"

"A little past three am."

"Shit."

She smiled. "Don't worry. We knew you needed sleep."

"Bobby will kill me..."

Bobby laughed from the doorway. "No. I won't. Congratulations, Jack. You're President for another four years."

Jack's eyes widened. "I am? How did I pull that off?"

"You won Texas!" Jackie smiled.

"Seriously?"

She nodded. "They must have felt bad for nearly killing you."

He smiled and kissed her gently. "Be nice."

"That was me being nice." She gently picked Charlotte up and handed her to Bobby. "Can you put her to bed?"

"Sure...why can't you?"

She laughed. "Oh Bobby...You'll never learn will you?"

"Learn what?"

"I'll use anything to get alone time with Jack. And him just winning the election is a great reason."

"Oh eww. Stop that."

She lauhed. "Go away."

He nodded. "Gladly. Jack?"

Jack looked up at his brother. "Yeah?"

"Thank you. For fighting...and remembering. For all of us."

Jack smiled and took Jackie's hand. "Sure thing, Bobby. Now seriously go."

And just like that...the unexpected was gone. And the Kennedys were back to normal.
