After reading your hurtful comments on the last update I actually decided not to upload this chapter. The only reason I'm doing this is because of my other beautiful readers who did nothing but support me. Thanks.
Jason's POV
I had the bomb in a box in my bag. Desied maybe wanted to talk but I had to have an emergency plan. I would sneak into The South’s base, which is probably easier said than done, where I would place the bomb. If I didn’t find out if Desied was in the building before I started the bomb, I'd turn myself to them so they would summon Desied. Then the bomb would explode... I might die but didn’t care. I wanted to save Christine, as I had promised her since day one. For now that Christine hated me there wasn’t any reason live anyway.
I drove to Scott Street 666 where I snuck into a back entry. The bomb had to be placed in the basement to destroy as much as possible, so I tried to find a way down to the basement. I pushed myself up against a wall and looked down at a long brightly lit hallway. I pulled the hood over my head and quickly ran down the hall, hoping there would be a door down to a basement.
South’s house was so different from The Norths. It wasn’t cozy at all. The corridors were long, gray and cold. Very different compared to the North's more old-fashioned, creaky wooden floors and worn walls. You could impossibly feel at home here. And there were too clean, it reminded me of a hospital. Our house was rarely cleaned, only the few times Geronimo got some sort of compulsion to clean and forced everyone in the house to a thorough cleaning. I smiled at the thought but had to stay focus before someone saw me.
I came to a door with the sign "BASEMENT 2-L4T3". I pulled the door handle but it was locked.
"Hey! Who are you? "A voice came further down the hallway and a man ran towards me.
Don’t shoot him Jason, don’t shoot, it will be too noisy.
"I'm Jason." I shrugged, sliding my hands in my pockets and looked indifferent at him.
"Jason?" He said speculatively and came closer step by step. "I haven’t heard of a Jason working in this building?"
In a quick motion I pulled out my hand from my pocket, and trust my knife into his chest.
"Jason McCann. Remember the name till the next time we meet. "I whispered in his ear before his lifeless body fell to the ground.
I looked back up at the door and noticed you needed your fingerprint to open the door. I looked down at the lifeless man. I shrugged. He probably didn’t mind if I borrowed his finger.
Quickly I cut off his finger and pushed it up against the scanner. This was too easy.
"HEY!"
I’ll retract my words.
I rushed down the stairs and into the dark cellar. My heart was beating fast and the adrenaline was pumping in my blood. But I had to relax otherwise they would hear me.
"Is he dead?" I heard a voice spoke.
"No, he is just taking a nap. What do you think you idiot!” Another answered him.
I bit my lower lip to stop myself from laughing. Maybe we had Dakota on our team but The North was smarter than South. We choose quality compared to South that definitely had chosen quantity.
I heard steps coming down the stairs and pushed my body tightly against the cold wall. In pace with the steps came closer, my breath became heavier. Suddenly the steps stopped. There was silence. Slowly I slipped my hand down into my pocket, and held the trigger on my gun.
