"Goodnight my little Vi"
I smile and giggle at my father, who slowly gets up and unzips the tent. I smile one last time at him and then curl up into my sleeping bag, trying to get snug. He climbs outside and zips the tent back up. Mommy and daddy are my most favorite people I know. They told me to be quite but I am not tired, I want to play still so I'll just be quiet. I wait a couple minutes before I slowly and carefully sneak out of my sleeping bag and stand. Walking over to my bag to grab the toys I brought and hear my parents outside.
"So its safe for now and Voilet is sound asleep. Just think this time tomorrow we will be home and don't have to worry about for another few weeks," My father says.
I silently giggle to myself.
I'm gonna spy on them. Now that's a gonna be a fun game.
Smiling to myself I drop my toys my toys and slowly creep towards the tent door, putting my ear to it.
"Yeah your right I just can't shake the feeling we aren't out of the woods just yet"
Mommy is so silly,
Trying to contain my laughter I listen in closer.
"Don't worry you know that we are safe and if something does happen, I wont let anything happen to either you or our little baby Voilet."
I shuffle trying to get myself in a better position. Ok no more spying time for attack!
Still smiling I reach for the zipper ready to pull as I hear mommy sigh.
"Ok then lets get some sleep and then we can finally rela-"
A twig snaps in the far distance and everything goes eerily silent, even the wildlife."What was that"

I can feel myself slowly waking up. I seem to be laying down in some sort of bed. I open my eyes and look around to and see a hospital room. When did I get here? I begin moving when I notice something on my foot wrapped in medical tape.
Strange, first I have a dream about parents I cant remember and then I wake up in a hospital. I start to hear upcoming footsteps coming from outside the door. They must have found me on the road.
I lay down again and close my eyes to pretend to be asleep. A few second later the door opens and what sounds like two sets of footsteps enter the room. I now hear a women with a high pitched voice begin to speak.
"So this is Violet Lee Johnson... everything seems to be in order. When do you think I'll be able to take her?"
I hear some footsteps and shuffling of papers.
"Well she somehow survived a lightening strike with no visible injuries. She was also thrown from her bike as well which left her with a head injury, concussion, and a sprained ankle. She was lucky to survive. She already has been asleep for over two weeks and everything is mostly healed. She should be fine to go as soon as she wakes up. She will have to wear that wrap for a couple more days though"
A man answers to the guy from before.
"Lightning? She really is a lucky girl. I found the perfect foster family to take care of her nearby. So you dont have to worry about anything just leave her in my care."
A foster family?
The man speaks again, most likely a doctor,
"Ok then come with me to fill out some paperwork so we can get this all sorted out"
I hear more footsteps and the door opening and the footsteps starting to fade in the distance.
I still don't know what to make of this. The wolves. How was that possible? They talked and they tried to kill me. This is more than crazy.Maybe I hit my head to hard hard and I imagined it all. Yeah that's it. I laugh to myself.
Right so I can't go back to another foster family. I sit up and begin making my way to the door at my right. I turn the knob quietly and open it the slightest bit. It seems to be a hall with nurses and doctors going through their daily work routine. Probably not the best idea to go through that area. I definitely would get spotted and wont be able to leave.
I close the door and turn around. My ankle seems to be mostly healed but I still have to be careful.
I scan around the room to see anything helpful. There is a window across from the door. I might be able to climb out if I'm close enough to the ground.
But I can't go in the hospital gown. Definitely more than just a fashion statement. Near the bed there seems to be a container full of my clothes. They washed it so that something at least.
I slip out of the hospital gown and change into my clothing. After I am done I start to walk over to the window. Halfway there I pass a mirror and stop dead in my tracks. I can feel my heart skip a beat.
How is that possible?
I look in the mirror to see my reflection. The ends of my hair seem to be going lighter and are nearly white."This straight from a crazy fantasy novel"
The footsteps start coming again. I turn back to the window and yank it open. I look down to see that I am on the second floor. Good. Normally I would just jump down but my foot probably won't survive the trip. I look to the sides of me and see a pipe. It could probably hold my weight.
I climb out and the pipe seems to hold me. I begin shimming down as carefully as possible as a million thoughts run through my head. Then I hear the door open to my room. They're here. I try going faster but its difficult with my foot."Voilet!"
It sounds like the second man from before.
"Your not getting away from me this time. Your parents tricked me last time but they aren't here are they"
Dread sets in my stomach. Whats going on?
I am halfway down but drop to the floor and try to get away.
I land on my bad foot sending pain through my ankle. Gritting through my teeth I look up to see a man with black hair and green eyes, deja vu hits me.
He smiles an impossibly evil grin.
"SH-" I trip and fall to the floor. I feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest. Pure horror courses trough my veins as I attempt to run again. I collapse to the floor as my injured foot fails me.
He laughs at me. The man jumps down from the window to the ground. Is he crazy or something. Midway something begins happening to him. Legs get shorter and his skin gets darker. No his skin is... growing hair? He lands to the floor transformed. Yep straight from a novel."First transformation you've seen?"
The voice says as it laughs.
"I thought you were just a descendant but your much more special aren't you. Lightning. Oh how lucky we are. Your parents think they are so clever hiding it with you"
Hiding what?
I try to fake my confidence
"I-I don't know who you are or what you are but all I know is that you knew my parents. Obviously not in a good way. I have nothing of importance and but you still pester me, why?" I ended up stumbling through the beginning.
He glares at me intensely then begins to laugh lightly which increases till his laugh seems to echo of the hospital walls.
"This has everything to do with you. Your parents entrusted it to you. You are so special, you cant even imagine."
