The rain never stopped. Not once.
My feet hit the wet floor almost to quick to see. I was running and nothing would stop me.
Not again. People always get hurt and its always my fault.
I can feel my lungs inhale and exhale fast and deeply through every sob. The smell of the fresh rain and dirt engulfs me.Fear.
Pain.
Guilt.
The emotions I despise and always wished would go away in my childhood. But again, the're back.
What am I saying?
My run starts to slow and I drop to the floor, knees hitting the ground hard.
Drenched with water I look up to the sky and see sad dark stormy clouds. I have to breath, I have to relax. Keep my mind blank and forget, that's all I can do.
"Your a killer" I couldn't get those words out of my mind. I have to ignore it, I'm not special. I couldn't have done that. A small chuckle escapes my lips before going silent again. This is crazy. I close my eyes and feel the rain hitting my face, somehow relaxing my mind only slightly.I'm just a no one.
I couldn't cause what happened to them even if I tried.
I lose my focus and stare beside me at the never ending forest, lost in thoughts.
The rain started to dissipate and soon only became a light drizzle before I knew it.
I tried to move but my body was so sore and my ankle was still so badly injured.
Sighing I look around for a good spot to rest my eyes, hoping to forget everything. Many trees and bushes were around me, so I slowly picked myself up and stumbled to the closest tree with the least amount of water on the floor, not that it would do much.
I lay down and try to get my breathing even so I could get some rest. But the minute I closed my eyes I was out cold.____________________________________
"What was that"
My parents went silent. What's going on?
I stand up letting go of the zipper just as the tent door opens, my father opening it from the other side with a backpack in hand.
"Daddy what's goin-""Listen sweety I am going to need you to take this backpack-" handing me the bag " -and go into the forest and play tag. Me and your mom are going to come after you so make sure you don't let us catch you. Remember, don't look back or you lose the game."
He takes me out of the tent and points to the woods, "Just over there ok?" His face seemed concerned and obviously worried.
"Ok!" I smile to him and grab the bag. I don't want him to be upset. I begin to run off before he catches my arm, "Violet we will always love you"
I smile widely again "I know daddy" I say before running off into the woods.
I run for a while, trying not to trip. This game will be fun I gotta make sure they don't catch me. Footsteps start approaching me from behind and I giggle to myself.
They'll never catch me.

I wake up and the first thing I notice was my growling stomach. It was daytime and everything seemed to be normal. Was that a memory of my parents? I could feel myself shivering from cold. Probably just woke up after a cold night. I sit up and try to compose myself, until everything flows back into my head.
That was impossible. I must have just imagined it all.
Yeah.
That's what happened. Animals talking, lightning striking, the dream... It was all in my head. It had to be.Guess that concussion did more damage than I thought it did.
I breath a sigh of relief and start to feel myself be less tense.
Just as crazy as always.
I pick myself up and stand,
at least I'm not sore anymore.
Analysing my situation I notice a sandwich on a plate right next to me. Someone was here. Then some shuffling starts coming from the nearby bushes.
Curious I stare at the spot where the most noise was coming from. The shuffling continues till a rabbit jumps out of the bushes.
Ironic. It looks familiar, in a way. The light brown fur and even the size.
That must be one fearless rabbit if it can be this close to humans though.
The rabbits nose twitched and shuffled a little bit closer to me.
"I thought you died"
I quickly scream and fall back down in fear. The rabbit is talking!? It was real!?
"No no no no you can't be real that's impossible that means-" I gasp and shake my head in denial.
It was real?! The creepy talking animals exist? That means...
"Is everyone ok?"
The rabbit seems shocked by my first question.
"A couple injuries but two deaths. Lavellen killed the two and only a couple we're injured by you lightning"
My head is still spinning but it does put me a little more at ease to hear these words. Until I fully process what he had said.
"From what I did!? That was really me!?"
I can feel my heart exalarate and begin pacing around the tree. I caused that lightning? I injured so many people from a power I don't even how to control.
The rabbit can sense me starting to over react and freak out.
"Er yes? But um... dont worry everything will be explained when I take you to Actaeon. Um uh my name is Bitro and yours is Voilet right??"
My face grew hot and angry, my emotions quickly changing
"I am NOT going anywhere with you! I'll just put everyone at risk!"
Thunder boomed overhead and the air around them chilled dramatically.
Bitro backed away in fear and began to slowly speak.
"I.... um... won't but uh..."
I take a step foward,
"I don't want any of these powers. You all come here telling me I'm special and that I have massive power. But your wrong not when I-"
I take a breath and try to calm down.
"My parents died leaving me on the streets. I don't blame them or anything, but it's tough. Anytime anyone gets close to me it always leads to them being hurt."
The sky calms down and the stormy clouds dissipate into a clear blue sky as if nothing happend.
Bitros face softens to an understanding look. I fall to the floor and sit, hands on my knees.
"I just miss them so much and I don't want anyone I love to leave me again. I know that sounds selfish but still"
Bitro's form starts changing. His feet get long as do his arms. Soon he transforms fully into a boy with light brown hair and boyish features only slightly younger then myself. He sat down next to me and talks again.
"You know, your father was like me. They say he was a strong warrior and fought for everyone's safety"
I gasp and look at Bitro,
"They were like you?"
Bitro nods and begins talking again,
"Well not exactly like me, he fought with such bravery. He wanted to save not just Pali, but the world"
We both sit in silence, thinking about each others words. I turn to him looking him in the eyes.
"I'll go with you Bitro, and do what my father did. I'll be the hero"
