2 ~ Classes

Lily's P.O.V

The bus ride was very short ten minutes maybe, everyone was very excited for the first day of school. All of the seventh graders filed into the cafeteria, there was over a hundred of us a lot of us had been at this school district since kindergarten. There were five teachers standing in the cafeteria, they each taught my five core classes English, math, social studies, science, and Spanish. As soon as all the seventh graders were in the cafeteria the welcomed us then began calling the home room students in alphabetical order.

My home room teacher was Mr. Evergreen, who was also one if my best friends dad. Mia was not upset her dad was going to be our English teacher which I was very thankful because I don't like it when my friends are upset. Mia along with Samantha Henderson were in my home room. Our home room class trudged upstairs to the room all the way down the sixth and seventh grade hall, yay (note sarcasm), I would have to walk along way to get to my locker every single morning or when I need something.

"Welcome students to room 301, your English classroom for the year. I think this is going to be a really fun year except for the part of having assigned seats. I hope there is no complaining about your seat and I will not change anyone's seat got it," Mr. Evergreen explained.

He quickly grabbed his clipboard off his desk and walked to the desks closet to the door. He put me in the third row with Jake Mainline, the most popular guy in school and Nathan Edmund who thinks he is a know it all. The rest of the class period consisted of Mr. Evergreen explaining the classroom rules and expectations and Nathan saying something every few minutes. Nathan never raised his hand which made Mr. Evergreen quite upset maybe enough to give him detention on the first day of school. Class ended thirty minutes after Nathan upset Mr. Evergreen.

I was off to math class which as about three classrooms down from English closer to the staircase. One of my best friend Gabriella Linton, who went by Gabby, was in this class, yeah.

The math teacher Mrs. Timberline was the kind of teacher who liked to accomplish a lot in one class period. She told us we would also be getting assigned seats,whats new we've had assigned seats since preschool or kindergarten.

I ended up sitting in between Jake Mainline on my left and Gabby's twin brother Kendall on my right. Only being in this class only twenty and it's already boring, I can tell this is going to be one long school year. Jake, Kendall and I whispered thorough out the whole class time. I found out Kendall and Jake like the same girl (I asked who but they would not say), Jake and I have all the same classes and Mrs. Justice our social studies teacher is awesome.

As soon as math ended, which felt like months, Jake and I were one of the first ones out not wanting to hear any more of Mrs. Timberline's high pitch girly voice.

"Hello students I'm Mrs. Justice and I am your seventh grade social studies teacher. Most of you may have heard of my niece Victoria Justice (this book is not affiliated with Victoria Justice or anyone involved with her). I may ask her to come in here sometimes but I don't know she can be pretty busy sometimes," the teacher began she seems really nice.

"Are we going to have assigned seats in this class like the rest," Jake asked raising his hand.

"I've decided since you have assigned seats in all the rest of you classes this class will be the only one with out them. Pick your seat carefully because I will move you if you are talking while I am," Mrs. Justice explained with a chorus of yeah and awesome after.

As I was walking to fourth period, science, I overheard one of the really popular girls talking mean about my friend Mia.

"Excuse but I could overhear you talking mean about my friend,Mia. I don't like people gossiping and talking behind one of my best friends back. Did you know what you are doing is called bullying, I could get you in lots of trouble if I really wanted to," I explained quite frustrated with Cleo.

"I am telling Mr. Evergreen about you, probably want to follow me," she snarled at me.

I quickly followed her to 301 hoping not to be late for science.

"Mr. Evergreen Lily here was being mean to me because I was talking about one of her best friends," Cleo told the teacher.

"Mr. Evergreen to my defense she was talking very mean about Mia which I thought quite rude," I said defending myself.

"Well in that case Cleo I'm giving you detention for talking about my daughter like that," Mr. Evergreen said quite upset.

After that was settled I hurried off to Science which I did not have with any of my best friends. I saw there was an empty seat next to Jake, so I quickly slide in the chair.

"Miss Rose you are late for class where have you been. Also that is your seat for the school year," the science teacher snarled at me sounding quite mad. (This teacher is nothing like me seventh grade teacher I had. My teacher was really really nice).

"I'm sorry I'm late I had to talk to Mr. Evergreen for a minute. it won't happen again I promise."

I wanted to crawl under the desk and run out the room but I didn't want to get in any more trouble.

"Where were you Lily I thought something bad had happened," Jake asked kinda upset.

"I'm sorry Jake, Cleo was talking mean about Mia and she told Mr. Evergreen on me. which was a stupid move on her part because she got detention."

Jake said nothing after that so I half paid attention to the teacher I didn't even no her name. I don't get why some people don't like me and why is Jake being so nice. When we were young he never even noticed me.

As soon as science ended I hurried to English to sign up for basketball. Jake was right behind me all the way there calling my name. I walked in the class room to see Mr. Evergreen sitting at his desk. I grabbed the clipboard and wrote down my name and grabbed a paper. As quickly as my feet could carry me I went to lunch.
