I woke up the very next morning and rushed to the bathroom. I lifted the toilet seat up and started coughing, I did so until basically last nights dinner came up. While I was vomiting I felt someone's hand rubbing circles in my back.
"Babe are you okay"
I gave her a thumbs up.
"Are you gonna be okay for the show?"
"Yea I guess it's just the nerves" I told Lauren standing up.
"You're gonna do amazing" Lauren said and kissed my temple. "I gotta get going but call me if you need anything I'll be back later" Lauren said as I finished brushing my teeth. "And my sisters are going too"
"Does that mean"
"Yes Kath is going" she told me and I looked down at my feet. "Hey look at me" Lauren said lifting my chin up making me look in her eyes. "It doesn't matter what she thinks of you. I love you and that's all that matters. Okay?"
"Okay." I said and she kissed my lips.
"I got go but I'll be back later. You're gonna do amazing and don't eat anything big before you go on stage. Call if you need me" Lauren told me
"Okay" I said and kissed her lips.
"I love you"
"I love you too" I said. She went to my room and left.
I showered and got dressed in a pair of sweats,mistfits shirt, purple beanie, and a pair of worn out purple converse. I made my way downstairs and found Jason and my mom making breakfast.
"Hey kiddo you excited" my mom asked me.
"Yea. Kinda nervous" I replied. I sat down at the table and my mom put a plate of pancakes in front of me with a glass of orange juice. I thanked her then Jason and my mom sat down. I didn't really eat just a few sips of orange juice and a few bites of the pancakes. It was 9:27am I had to be at sound check at 12pm. I made my way down to the dance studio and grabbed my mic.

It was 10:50am so I picked out my clothes for the show and got dressed in white skinny jeans, my red sleeping with sirens t shirt, red beanie and red converse.
We climbed into the car and headed to city walk since that's were I'm performing.
It was my mom in the drivers seat, Jason next to her, then Lauren and I in the back. Lauren's family was in the car behind us. I know right now it's just a sound check but this is nerve racking. My neck was shaking since we got in the car. Thoughts of what could go wrong started to go through my head.
I felt someone rest their hand on my leg. I turned my head and I saw Lauren look at me mouthing 'it's gonna be okay' which made me feel a little better.
Once we got to City Walk it was 11:30 so I started doing my vocal warm up as we walked around heading to the backstage.
"Soooo Kayla are you excited" Amy asked me as we got to my dressing room.
"More nervous then excited actually" I told her.
"You shouldn't be you're gonna do great" Amy smiled.
"That's what I've been telling her" Lauren added. I sighed and tossed myself on the couch next to Lauren, she put her arm around me bringing her closer to me. "If you get nervous just look at me, right at me. That's what I've been doing since we started dating"
"Okay" I smiled and pecked her lips.
"Kayla it's time for soundcheck" my mom told me as her head peeked through the door.
