Chapter 19

Jungkook P.O.V.

I wake up in my apartment to Yoongi entering my room

"Ahh you're awake now" He says handing me food

"How did I get here?" I ask since I last remember being at Taehyung's house

Ahh Taehyung... looking at the time I realize sadly that he is probably gone by now

"Taehyung's parents called me and said you fell asleep, so they asked me to come get you" He explains while setting a tray of food next to me

I nod in understanding

I begin to get up until Yoongi pushes me back down

"I looked earlier, they're gone Jungkook ...I'm sorry" He says, looking down

"They left without saying goodbye?" I ask, as the familiar pain spreads in my chest

"They thought it would be better for you if they didn't" Yoongi explains, getting up and leaving the room

The next few days blur by uneventfully and soon enough I am a high school graduate ...oddly enough I don't feel any different, as a matter of fact, I don't feel much at all now, I feel quite numb

Days passed by, and days quickly became months, then finally it's the new year, not much changes. I begin getting thinner as I refuse to eat, and Yoongi went away for college. My father still tries to spend time with me when he can, but that doesn't help

Jimin and Hoseok come over quite often, since we are all affected by Taehyung's family leaving. I still go to their house every now and then, just hoping that I'll see them and have Taehyung with them

I know that Taehyung is most likely gone by now, but I refuse to accept it ...I can't

"Jungkook!" I hear my name being called from outside my apartment door

I slowly get up and make my way to the door

Opening it I see that it's Jimin

"You look terrible Jungkook" He says looking at me

I shrug and move to the side so he can enter

After he enters I see that Hobi is with him and he looks at me with concern in his eyes

"You need to get out more. And I mean more than just checking in on the Kim's house" he says

I sit on the couch, fiddling with my fingers

"You also need a haircut ...god when was the last time you cut your hair?" He asks, running his fingers through my hair

I remember how nice it felt when Tae would do that......

Jimin pulls me off the couch and guides me to the bathroom

"I'm going to cut your hair ...is that okay?" He asks, forcing me to look at him

"Yeah, I should've had one of you do it a while ago" I say

All the while Jimin is cutting my hair, it's relatively quiet

"I'm done" he says after a while

I nod and get up

"Take a shower, you have hair all over you now" He instructs, handing me an outfit

"What's this for?" I ask looking at him

"We are going out today. All of us need to be distracted from our own thoughts" He says, fussing with my hair slightly

I sigh in acceptance and shoo him out of the room

Taking off my shirt, I realize just how much I've changed since Taehyung left... you can see some of my ribs and looking at my face there are dark circles under my eyes
