Chapter 10

Jungkook P.O.V.

"A-And ...I only have a year to live" He says looking away

He tries to tug his hand away, but I tighten my grip

He frowns and looks at me

"Why aren't you saying anything?" He asks

I rub his hand lightly "There's nothing I can say to you that would change the situation, but if I'm able to have you for a year ...then I'm willing to be yours as long as you want me"

I can see tears begin to form in his eyes

I move to his side of the table, having already finished our ice cream, I wrap my arms around him as he buries his head in my shirt

I run my fingers through his hair trying to calm him down

"Why didn't you reject me?" He asks looking up at me

"I've been trying to resist my feelings for you because you're too good for me. You're perfect Taehyung. You're beautiful inside and out, and the medical condition you have is very unfair, but I want to see you happy more than anything. I want to be the person that makes you happy" I say honestly

He continues to cry, so I lean down and kiss his forehead

I stroke his hair until he stops crying and I wipe the remaining tears away

"Is this our first date then?" He asks quietly

"It is if you want it to be" I say smiling

He giggles quietly and nods his head

I can't even explain how happy I am right now. There's a lot that I have yet to discover about Taehyung, but we both know each other's deepest secret and yet somehow he still has feelings for me. I don't deserve him but I'm going to make him the happiest man for as long as I can.

After talking a bit more about ourselves I feel as if I know Taehyung a lot better, and we end up needing to leave due to us being there until closing

Taehyung holds my hand as we head back to the car. We get a few disgusted looks from some of the students from school that are there, but I couldn't be bothered to care with how happy I finally am now

As we drive back to Taehyung's house the song Singularity comes on and I just about melt at Taehyung's voice. It's so deep and soulful, and I can't help but to become entranced as I listen to him sing

Eventually the song ends and I compliment his voice, resulting in him blushing that cute pink color. I smile as we pull up to his house and he begins to get out of the car

"Tae?" I say getting his attention

"Yes?" He asks looking at me

"I had fun today, and I'd really like to do it again sometime" I say blushing slightly

"Well, you're my boyfriend now ...we can do this whenever you want" He says smiling

I smile at him as he gets out of the car and makes his way towards the house

I see him look back at the car as if he was trying to decide something, I roll down the window in case he needed to say something

He makes his way towards my side and I look up at him, wondering what he might've forgotten

Before I can ask, he leans down and lightly kisses my lips

He breaks away before I can even react and slips a piece of paper into my hand before heading back to the front porch, this time waving goodbye before going inside

I sit in shock for a couple minutes before looking at the paper in my hand, realizing the piece of paper has his phone number on it

I smile as I pull out of the driveway and make it back to my own home

As I enter the house Yoongi is sitting in the living room, waiting for me to return

"So.... how did it go?" He asks raising an eyebrow

"It went well" I say smiling to myself

"Judging by that smile, it went really well" Yoongi comments

I smile, "I have a boyfriend ...his name is Kim Taehyung"

He begins clapping sarcastically "Good job, you've finally done something right" 

I roll my eyes at him "So when do you go to that fancy music school?"

"In a few months actually, so you'd better keep searching for apartments ...but now that you have Tae I doubt that you'd want to move to Seoul" He says thinking

I nod and get on my phone to begin looking up apartments for rent near to where Tae lives just so I don't have to be so far from him

After a couple hours of searching I find one that's a one bedroom, one bathroom that has pretty much everything I'd want in an apartment. I show Yoongi and after he approves I set up an appointment to tour the apartment after school on Friday.

"Since you didn't go to school today, please make sure you go tomorrow" Yoongi says looking at me

I sigh and agree before heading upstairs to plan my outfit ...and maybe text Tae while I'm at it

Eventually I figure out what I want to wear for school tomorrow, and I sit down to try to think of what to say to Taehyung

But before I could decide, my phone alerted me of a new message from Jimin

'I swear Jeon Jungkook, if you hurt him I will hurt you'

Ahh, Taehyung must've told him that I asked him to be my boyfriend

'Relax Chim, I'm not going to hurt him.'

I decide to message Tae about it

'So, I assume you told Jimin about our relationship?'

Soon after I get a reply 'Ahaha yeah ...did he say something to you?'

'He just told me not to hurt you ...no big deal' I respond immediately

I smile as Tae and I continue to text each other, not even realizing that time has been passing, but soon enough Yoongi is knocking on my door, telling me to go to sleep

I look over and realize it is almost midnight

Getting ready for bed quickly, I message Taehyung that I have to go to bed and look forward to seeing him tomorrow, since it'll be Tuesday

He replies with a purple heart emoji

I smile at his response and put my phone down to charge

 Today was a good day
