Chapter 18

Jungkook P.O.V.

I didn't even realize I cried myself to sleep until I wake up the next day

I debate texting Tae to see if he was up for hanging out

Suddenly I get a text out of nowhere

I look at my phone and realize it's from Taehyung, immediately making me smile

''Jungkook, it's Jin ...I don't think it would be a good idea for you to visit Taehyung today. He is in a poor condition and needs to sleep.'

I feel tears prick my eyes as I read the message

'Do you think he'll be able to come to graduation on Wednesday?'

I hope that Jin will say yes, because it will mean everything to me

'With the way things are going, I honestly don't know'- Jin

I read the message and sit down sadly

I really wish I could help Tae, but I know this is something that I can't really do much about

Deciding to go out and do something, I get dressed and make my way to my car to drive to the nearest jewelry shop

"Welcome, how can I help you?" The shop attendant asks

"I need to take a look at engagement rings" I say gazing at the different jewelry pieces

The girl scoffs and pulls out the key to the display cases

"What kind of ring are you looking for?" She says with disdain

"Well, I want to kind of match with my boyfriend, so what would you suggest?" I ask walking up to the counter

The girl rolls her eyes and pulls out the rings

"I'm sorry do you have a problem with me buying a ring for my boyfriend?" I ask angrily

""No, I just think you're far too young to be getting married at your age" She says, staring at me

"Given that one of us isn't going to make it past these next few months, I think now is the best chance we'll get" I say glaring at her

Her face changes to shock "Oh my god, I'm so sorry ...I had no idea"

I nod "Yeah, most people don't"

I pick out the rings without any more trouble, and I pay for them quickly before heading back home

As I pull up to my apartment complex I see Jimin sitting on the steps with tear stains on his face

I park the car and run up to him

"Are you okay Chim Chim?" I ask cautiously

"I just heard about Tae's condition" He says sadly

I nod my head and sit down next to him placing the bag on the ground

"W-What's that?" He asks, wiping the tears from his face

"I'm going to ask Tae to marry me" I say, pulling out the rings to show Jimin

"They're beautiful Jungkook, I know Taehyung will love them" He says smiling at me

I smile as I put the rings back in the bag and look towards Tae's house

"Do you think they'll let him have visitors tomorrow?" I ask

"I don't really know, I hope so ...based on what Namjoon told me, Tae isn't doing well" Jimin says

"How is Hoseok doing with all of this?" I ask, since I don't really talk to Hoseok much anymore
