Lilith's POV
The roar of the engine ceases as Jughead cuts off all power coursing through the bike, thinking back to our fight I softly smile remembering how easily we forgave and forgot. Us Jones twins could never stay mad at each other for more than a week, a rule we had created as kids. There's still one thing we hadn't gotten around to talking about, being my inevitable joining of the Serpents. Jughead has ignored the talk amongst the young Serpents, refusing to believe that I'm joining. Even going as far as talking for me on my own decision, telling them that I'd never join the Serpents. I know he is just trying to look out for my future but this is something I had been waiting for since I was younger.
"Princess!" Looking over my shoulders a smile slips on my face as Sweet Pea jogs over to me, taking me in his arms I let out a giggle. Getting to know Sweets these past two weeks has been amazing, he's incredibly protective and affectionate of me. As I am to him, kissing his cheek his smile blesses my eyes until his eyes harden into a rage-filled stare at someone across the lot. Following his stare, it reveals the same Ghoulie who had been practically stalking me at school for the past week. But unlike all the other stare's he's given me this one is different, his eyes linger on Sweet Pea's hands that hang off my waist.
Turning to fully look at Sweet Pea I cupped his face in my hands and whisper, "Hey, it's alright nothing will happen to me. Not as long as I have you." His eyes shine with mischief and happiness, slowly he begins to lean in. With a racing heart and wide eyes, I block his kiss using my hand, opening his eyes the mischief and happiness had faded into confusion and hurt. "No can do Sweets, I don't kiss random people. Only significant others are allowed to kiss these lips, so if you catch what I'm throwing out there you better get to asking before someone else does." Giggling once more at his shocked face I take the chance to get out of his grasp and walk towards Jughead, who's not surprisingly giving me a disapproving look.
"Twin honesty time- " rolling my eyes already knowing what he was going to say, "-I don't like whatever that is one bit, Lilith, especially since he's a Serpent." Jughead needs to get off of his high horse and understand all the Serpents have done for not only me but for him too. "Look Jug, it's my choice whoever I associate with or am interested in. I didn't try to dictate your relationship with Betty, so why are you trying to dictate mine with Sweet Pea." Jughead was so close minded about certain things it was so frustrating.
"You didn't try to dictate my relationship with Betty because you and her are friends, whereas Sweet Pea and I aren't. You're making a bad choice Lili can't you see, Sweet Pea will ruin you like Dad did to Mom." Mumbling the last part he slams the locker making it rattle. How could he say something like that, Mom chose her life and made her own decisions. I refuse to end up like her, leaving her eldest kids alone at 14 to fend for themselves against the struggles of the Southside and the scrutiny of the Northside. But I will do it my way on what I think is right.
Getting fed up with his attitude and dictation of my life I whisper-yell to him, "You are just like her Jughead, you run away at any sign of change. You worry about how your friends view you and refuse to be thankful for the Serpents who've been there for us since we were younger. If anyone is going to make horrible decisions like Mom, it's going to be you." This conversation was one that wasn't going to be forgiven soon, it wasn't like any of the other fights we've had before. Tears brimmed my eyes but refuse to fall, giving Jughead one final glare I walk off in the direction of the science class.

Lunch
The bell rings out releasing students to the halls of Southside High, packing up my bag I make sure to check one last time before heading out towards the cafeteria. An arm falls on my shoulder causing me to flinch, look towards the person my heart freezes. The Ghoulie that has been stalking me in the halls pulls me closer to him, trying as best I could to push him away his grip tightens around my shoulders.
