Chapter 7 - Doctor's P.O.V To Get Over Your Fears, You To Get Over Your First Fear

The dolls freeze seconds away from touching us, I turned to see George was standing in the centre of the room looking up at us. He did it! He got over his fears!

"George! George! You did it! You did it! It's OK, it's all OK now. Everything's going to be fine."I said happily, only to see the dolls began to move again and instead of attacking us they walked down the steps towards George, who was shacking in fear. 

"No. No. No, no, no, no, no! George, you created this whole world. This whole thing, you can smash it! You can destroy it!"I said, but George was too scared to move just shook his head. 

"Something's holding him back. Something's holding him back. Something..."I said, I racked my brain for why. 

That's it! George feared the rejection from his parents, he came because Claire and Alex wanted him, but heard them wanting to send him away and he assumed me and Sapphire were the ones that was going to take him away. He needed to know that he was safe and staying with his parents. 

I turned towards Alex "...That's what did it. That's what the trigger was. He thought you were rejecting him. He thought he wasn't wanted. That someone was going to come and take him away."I said. 

"Well, we... we talked about it."Alex said, with shame in his tone. 

"Yeah, and he heard you, Alex. A Tenza's sole function is to fit in, to be wanted, and you were rejecting him."I said. 

"We just couldn't cope. We needed help!"Alex said. 

"Yes, but George didn't know that. He thought you were rejecting him. He still thinks it."I said. George needed to know he was not going to be sent away, that was he loved. 

"But how can we keep him? How can we? He's not..."Alex said, I could tell he was scared too and knowing the truth must scary him too, but he needed to be brave to George. 

"Not what?"I asked. 

"He's not... human."Alex said, staring at his son. 

"No."I whispered, as the dolls were even closer to George. 

"DAD!"George shouted his voice echoing through the room and it was another to send Alex moving. Shoving the scissors in my hand he rushed down the steps towards George, pushing the dolls as he went. He grabbed hold of George and pulled him into a hug and the dolls froze. 

"Whatever you are, whatever you do, you're my son. And I will never, ever send you away. Oh, George. Oh, my little boy."Alex said, as he clung to his son tight and I see George hug him back. 

"Dad."George said, with massive grin. A bright light suddenly enveloped the room as Alex and George embraced each other. A smile played on my lips as George finally felt safe and no longer feared rejection. 

The light faded and we was no longer in dollhouse, but in fact back in Georges room. George and Alex were safe and sound still hugging each other, I looked around for Sapphire, but before I could I was tacked into a hug. 

"Doctor!"Sapphire cried out as she hugged me tight as did I. 

"You would not believe the day I have had."I said and Sapphire just let out a laugh in my ear and continued to hug me. 

After the excitement of leaving the cupboard, we made are way into the kitchen for cupper and something to eat. George was hungering, I would think so after the day he had. 

George was happily sitting on the counter chucking at a toy along with Sapphire, who seemed happier then I have seen her. I smiled as George let out a laugh at what Sapphire said, I never really seen this side to Sapphire before, but I could tell that this was something she missed when she our child was born.
