It was on the 1st of December, under the showering snow, with the merry songs blasted in the speakers, surrounded by the faint scent of caffeine

it was then that lisa held tighter and chaeyoung decided to losen the tight grip

"let's end this."

lisa's eyes started to moist as the other one stood up and left the coffee shop without any explanation

she sipped on their usual latte order as the tears came out one by one

It was on the 1st of January, with loud and sparkly fireworks, out with the loud greetings, and accompanied by the red wine with a tannin aftertaste

"a new chapter without you."

lisa whispered as she threw the pictures and letters at the open burning drum

the memories ends as her hopes of moving forward starts

It was on the 1st of February, with bouquets starting to appear in every shop, the town enveloped with the rich aroma of fine chocolate, and two heartbeats walking on the sidewalks almost everyday

"You can have this."

an unfamiliar stranger approached as she handed two boxes of chocolates paired with a crafted rose

with a red nose and teary eyes she dropped the gifts on the strangers table and ran away

lisa picked it up hesitatingly and concluded that the gift must have been rejected, therefore it ended up on some random person's table

It was on the 1st of March, on a sunny day, with an unlimited time to spare, wrapped with a mid-thick coat to protect the skin from the dry but cold weather

"It's you." lisa gave a slight smile before handing a movie ticket to the stranger she met a month ago that fortunately she came across on the street, "I hope you feel better now, here's something in return for the chocolate."

"wait" called by the stranger as lisa was just about to take a step back to her condo, "mind if you join me in watching the movie?"

lisa smiled before turning to face the stranger again and pulling an extra ticket in her side pocket, "Glad I bought an extra."

the stranger giggled as she stepped closer, "jennie"

It was on the 1st of April with an aura of caution, sipping wintermelon milk tea, and heading to the cinema to see another movie again

"lisayaa~" jennie called as she tugged lisa's sweater, "hmm?"

"I think I like you." the former stranger carefully whispered causing the other one to stiffen and to stop from sipping her drink

silence took over for a minute and jennie decided to break the ice, "Happy April Fools."

jennie awkwardly laughed as she ran to the entrance of the cinema regretting that she even tried to blunt her shallow and growing feelings

lisa stayed silent through the whole movie as she acknowledged that she maybe reciprocating the feelings of someone again

but now with the fear of being left behind

It was on the 1st of May, shadowed by the street light, silently walking side by side, with the comfortable silence occupying them

"go inside jennie." lisa insisted as the other one pouted before heaving a small sigh, "okay good night lalisa."
