The next day, I walk to school with Daichi's coat in my hand and his hankie in my pocket. I'm probably being stupid for giving him back something that he already didn't want and let me keep.

I get to my class only to see Riku was already at her seat. I walk over and take my seat behind her. "Hey Riku!" I greet.

"Hey Kumi! Who's coat is that?" She points to Daichi's coat.

"Oh umm, it's Daichi's. I ran into him on the way home from work and he let me borrow it. Some idiot splashed me with water." I tell her honestly. I never keep a secret from my friend.

"Oh my god really!!? Does this mean you two are dating or something!? I mean that would be the cutest thing ever. You're so lucky!! I always thought that it would be me to have a boyfriend first, not that I thought you would never get one or-"

"Shut up, you're babbling. And no, we're not dating. And I don't even like him or anything." I say bringing my books out of my bag.

"Your loss for not liking him. Also, forgot to tell you. You missed out on some juicy things yesterday." She tells my running her hands.

"If it's about Uehara, I don't wanna know." I say keeping a black face on.

She sighs. "Well to bad. Anyways, some girl decides to invite him to something and of course he rejected her. So after he left, these other three girls came and took her away after threatening her or something." She tells me excitedly.

"You call that juicy. It just seems like every girl crush here in this school. I get that the boy is really handsome, but why do you all like someone that you know you don't have a chance with. Find a boy that'll actually pay attention to you. I bet some boys here are cute." I say.

"Oh please. The only person that'll ever like my is Abe Jun. And he likes almost everybody." She tells me.

"Have you ever looked at any other boy beside Uehara?" I ask.

"Ok course. I just find Uehara the best out of all." She smiles.

"Useless when every girl here is going to be after him once he graduates. And do you really think you have a chance with him?" I ask her.

"Of course not. But why not fantasize him like he's a famous person or something. Like how you do." She smiles. I slap the back of her head. "Ouch!"

"Shut up, teachers coming." I tell her.

The lesson goes on and the longer it is the more I yawn. Luckily it was over and we had a ten minute break. "Hey, you're good at stalking boys, do you think you would know where Daichi's class is?" I ask Riku.

She glares at me. "Shut up, I don't stalk anyone."

"You stalk Uehara."

"Every girl here does. It's different."

"Forget it. So do you know?" I ask one more time.

"Yeah, just come with me." She grabs my hand and leads my out of the classroom to help me look for Daichi as I have is coat in my hand.

His class ended just being a level down. And it wasn't so far from mine.

We get to his classroom to see him sitting on his desk and talking to some friends. "There he is, now go." Riku tries pushing me.

"No, I can't just walk into a classroom. That makes it awkward for me." I tell her slapping the back of her head.

"Ouch!" She whisper yells.

I turn back only to see Daichi already looking at me. I give home a small smile as I wave the coat in my hand. He then gets up from his seat and walks over to me.

"Hey, how'd you know I'd be here?" He asks.

"I didn't, she did." I say pointing to Riku. She gasps and slaps the back of my head.

"Ouch!" I whisper yell at her. She sticks her tongue out at me. I stick mine out at her.

"Anyways, here's your coat. Thanks for letting me borrow it. Even if it was just for five more minutes." I thank him.

"No problem. And what was someone like you doing out at night?" He asks.

"I work at a ramen shop." I say. He nods his head. "And I forgot to give you this as well." I say taking the hankie out of my pocket and handing it to him.

He takes it but just puts it back in my pocket. "Like I said, just keep it. Anyways, thanks for returning my coat. I'll see you around hopefully." He smile. I wave bye at him as me and Riku walk back to class.

"Holy crap. That was amazing! You two should totally go out together! And look, he even gave you his hankie!" She awes taking the hankie out of my pocket and rubbing her cheek with it.

I take it from her. "Don't do that. You look like a freak." I say.

"Well I am one. Now let's go back to class. We have sports right after music." She tells me.

"Ugh, I hate sports." I say as she grabs my hand and leads me back to class just in time for the bell to ring. Luckily nothing bad has happened today.
