"Hi Issei." I say, walking into the ramen shop with Riku besides me.

"Hey Kumi. What are you doing here? You don't have work today." He says.

"I'm just bringing my friend over for lunch." I say, taking a seat in front of him. Riku sits next to me.

"Okay, two orders of ramen coming up." He said.

"He's cute." Riku whispers to me.

"His only love is ramen." I whisper to her.

"Are you talking bad about me?" He asks.

"Of course now. We're talking about how amazing you are." I lied.

"Mhmm." He says. I laugh at myself.

"I was thinking, do you want to go to the aquarium on Sunday? It'll be so much fun, just like when we were kids." She smiles.

"Of course. I miss going there. I would always enjoy seeing the otters swimming around together." I say.

"The otters were the best part." She says.

"You guys are going without me? So cruel." He said, handing us our bowls of ramen.

Riku gets her first taste of it. "Wow, this is amazing. I love it." She says, eating it like if it's her last day on earth.

"You have such and appetite. I like that in girls." Issei says, taking a bowl of ramen to a table. I look at Riku, she's blushing madly.

"He has no idea." I said.

"Shut up." She punches my arm.

"Ouch!" I whisper yell. So rude.

Issei come back and serves us another serving of ramen. "So, you guys are really going to the aquarium?" He asks.

"Yeah." I smile.

"Wow, you're such a child." He says.

"And you're such a jerk." I say.

"I'm sorry, Riku. Kumi can't make it on Sunday. She has work that day." He tells her. I slap the back of his head.

"Leave the girl alone. Let hem eat in peace." Issei's dad comes over to tell him.

"Yeah Issei. Leave us girls alone." I say. He glares at me. I just laugh and stick my tongue out at him.

"Whatever. I don't want to be part of your weird conversations anyways." He says. I laugh at him.

"Yup, he's cute." I hear Riku say.

"Is he enough to get you over Uehara?" I ask.

"Nope." She says, popping the p. But I could see a tiny blush on her cheeks the whole time she eats. And she's blush even more when Issei would come by and serve her more water. This could help with her getting over Uehara and him finally getting a girlfriend. Finally a miracle.

Sunday came along. I woke up to my alarm clock. Took a quick shower and made myself some breakfast. Then I got dressed, wearing a denim skirt and a white long sleeve. Then I just put on a coat to keep myself warm.

I waited outside of the aquarium for Riku. And once she got there, we both went straight inside. It had been so long since we've come here. It feel like we're children again. At least that's how it felt for me.

She would pull on my arm taking me from place to place and looking at all the different fish. She seemed more amused by everything than me. I'm glad she hasn't changed since then. I'm glad she's still the same old Riku I've known since elementary.

"Let's take a break and go get something to eat." I say.

"Yes please. I'm starving. I didn't eat breakfast." She says, rubbing her stomach.

"How could you now eat breakfast. You eat all the time."

"But I was so excited to come here I basically just decided to skip and come over here right away. That was a bad idea."

I laugh at her. "Glad to know you haven't changed since elementary." I smile.

"'Me too." She smiles back. And we head over to get some food. And of course I only get a small meal and she basically gets the whole menu.

"I miss coming here. It's so good to be back." She says.

"Issei was right, we are kids." I smile.

"Issei's kinda cute. Why don't you date him?" She asks.

"I never saw him in that sorta way. He's just like a brother to me. That's how I see him as. Plus, you seem to kinda like him. You would blush every time he came to serve you more water. And then you blushed even more when he said that he liked girls with big appetites." I tell her.

She begins to blush again, and her whole face turns red. "Shut up. He's cute but, definitely not my type. Uehara is." She says.

"For now." I smirk, taking a sip of my drink. She slaps my arm.

"Well, what about you and Daichi? Don't you like him?" She ask, leaning forward and smirking at me. I was good at lying, but for some reason I didn't feel like it.

"Yes." I say quietly, looking down at my lap.

"I knew it. But, why do you seem so upset about it?" She asks.

"I just hate that I grew these feelings for him even though he likes someone else already." I say.

"I'm sorry, Kumi." She says taking my hand.

"It's alright. I'll get over it anyways. Now, let's go check out more of this place. We're here to have fun." I smile.

"Let's go!" She pull my hand and starts walking away with me. But about five minutes later, I had to go to the bathroom.

"I'll be right back I'm gonna go to the bathroom." I say.

"Ok, I'll be waiting right here." She smiles. I nod and start walking towards the bathroom. But I Stop when I hear two familiar voices.

"I like you." I stop in my tracks. I look over real quick to see both Daichi and Nao. Then lean my back against the wall.

"I like you, Nao." He says. I could feel myself starting to break. There's no way I could like him that much for me to feel this hurt.

"Oh, Daichi. Stop joking around." She says.

"It's the truth." It goes silent for a little bit. Then he speaks again.

I've always liked you, Nao. I always though it was enough if you just smiled at me. But I'm don't thinking like that. I don't think that anymore."

"Daichi-"

"You don't have to...give me and answer now." He cuts her off. "I just wanted to tell you."

A tear slides down my cheek. And I leave to the bathroom before I could hear anything else. Why am I being like this? I shouldn't be like this?
