"You don't have sports club today?" I ask.

"No, not today. Everyone else was busy with something. So no one was able to come luckily I ran into you. And what about you, why aren't you with your friend?" He asks.

"I don't know, she probably went back home to eat. That what she usually does. And I usually have work, but not today I guess." I said.

"At least you get some free time. Is this what you normally do when you get time off?" He asks.

"I don't know, I'm usually with my mom or Riku. But only if I don't have work. And if none of those, I study." I say.

"Such a nerd." He laughs lightly.

"Hey, I'm nota nerd." I crack a smile.

"That's what all nerds say." He says smiling. His phone suddenly starts to ring. "Hello? Who hi, mom. Wait, right now? Yeah sure, I'll be right there." He says hanging up the phone and putting it in his bag.

"Something came up. I have to go home. Would you like me to give you a ride back home?" He asks.

"I don't know, I don't want to be a bother. The conversation kinda sounded urgent." I say.

"You're not a bother. And it's alright, being a few minutes late won't be bad. So, would you like me to give you a ride home?" He asks again.

I stay quiet and a bit hesitant. But I end up saying yes and hopping on the back of his bike. The bike ride felt nice. And after a hot day, the wind blowing in my face in my face feels great.

We stop at my house, I hop off the bike and stand next to him. "Thank you for the ride home. Is there anything I could do to repay you back?" I ask.

"No, I'm all good. You're a friend, and I'll always help a friend out." He smiles at me. I smile back. "I'll see you tomorrow. Stay safe." He says before riding his bike back home. I wave at him before I head back inside.

I walked around the school for a bit the next day. Riku ended up calling in sick. And I didn't have many other friends other then her. So it was all me today.

I turned the corner at the end of the hall and bumped into someone, which ended up with me falling onto the floor. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry, Kimu! I wasn't watching where I was going."

I look up to see Daichi. He kneels down in front of me and helps me up. "It's alright Daichi, accidents happen." I said cracking a small smile.

"But still, I'm really sorry. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?" He asks.

"You don't need to do anything. It was all an accident. But, thank you for being so kind. Not a lot of guys these days would do this for a girl." I said.

He cracks a smile. "Glad to know I'm a nice person."

"You've always been a nice person. Ever since the first day I met you, all you've been towards me was nothing but kind and friendly." I say. We both then start walking slowly around the school.

"Where's your uniform?" I ask.

"Oh, I was heading to sports club. You should come down and watch us for a bit. I could give you a ride back home right after." He says.

"No, I'm alright. Plus, I have work today. And I don't like sports." He tell him.

He stops in his tracks right in front of me. I almost bump into his chest. "You don't like sports??" He gasps.

"I just can't seem to get into it. And it's not that entertaining to me." I say as we begin to walk slowly again.

"Well you lame." He jokes. We both laugh lightly. "Just kidding. But you should still watch us for a little bit. Do you want to come?" He asks.

"Sure, I can spare a few minutes I guess."

We walk outside onto the field. I sit on the bleacher watching him for a little bit. It was actually kind of entertaining watching him for a little bit.

All of a sudden I hear the scream of a bunch of girls. The boys on the grass stop what they're doing. And to everyone's surprise, we all see Uehara. That wasn't the surprising part, the surprising part was that he was holding Nao's hand.

The minutes they're out of sight, I look over at Daichi. I give him a questioning look, he shrugs his shoulders at me. Something doesn't seem right.
