Meet You There -2-

Madelyn's POV

I woke up around 3 in the afternoon. My Spotify was now on music I've never heard before. I looked at the screen to see it was a song called "Long Way Home". The artist was 5 Seconds of Summer. I kind of enjoyed it so I downloaded it to my library.  

I went downstairs and saw that no one was home. A note was on the fridge from my mom. 

Dear Madelyn,

Sarah and I went out to get some groceries. We will be back in about 3 hours. You can go out of the house just make sure to lock the door and take a key. 

Love you, Mum

I decided to go to the park I went to earlier in the day with the hope that I would see Ashton again. I got there and saw a note on the ground.

Madelyn-

I hope you read this note. I just wanted to give you my number in the hopes we could talk again. My number is 

$$$-$$$-$$$$ (In case you were wondering that is just a spacer implying that his number is there)

Ashton ;)

I smiled at the small note. I entered his number into my phone and saved him as a contact. I then called him hoping he would pick up.

Ashton's POV

-1 hour ago-

All the boys just left practice except Luke while I was still cleaning my area up. "Hey mate what's up? I can tell somethings bothering you," He said. 

"It's nothing really," I gave a fake smile and I could tell he saw that it wasn't real. "Well whatever it is just don't down yourself and take a chance," Luke responded. He smiled and patted my back before getting up to leave. 

I looked at the stack of paper and contemplated a bit before writing the note. "Madelyn- I hope you read this note. I just wanted to give you my number in the hopes that we could talk again," I wrote down then added my number. 

I went out to my car and drove back to my house before walking to the park. I dropped the note by the tree I used to hang out at with the boys a long time ago. I then left with a smile on my face, and a pit in my stomach.

-20 minutes later-

I felt a buzz from the back pocket of my jeans. It said unknown.

"Hello?" I said into the phone. "Hey," A quiet but familiar voice answered into the phone. Madelyn. "Hey Madelyn," I said shyly. "Hey Ashton. It's good to talk to you again," She said. 

"I was wondering if you would like to come over to my friend Luke's tomorrow to watch us rehearse for a small gig we have coming up," I said. "Oh so you're in a band," Madelyn said with a grin forming on her face that I could tell from the comment she made. "Yea," I chuckled. "Sounds good," She said. 

"Well, I will see you there tomorrow," I added before she said bye and we hung up. Mental note: thank Luke later. I smiled from ear to ear. 

Madelyn's POV

I hung up the phone. Meet you there Ashton. I smiled and my cheeks turned red before getting up and walking back home.
