[3rd Person's POV]

Minhyuk groaned as he tried to get up. His whole body screamed for him to not move as the pain was literally unbearable, but he had to.

These kinds of nights weren't foreign to Minhyuk. In fact, it was all too familiar. How his body will just lay there, motionless, while it accepted every hit wholeheartedly.

Minhyuk remembered how people used to say that they envied him for having such a perfect relationship with his boyfriend.

If only they knew they were wrong.

Yeah they were perfect before. But not anymore. He didn't know how it happened. He didn't know how and why he suddenly changed.

Minhyuk hated every part of his relationship with Hoseok now. Hoseok abused him. If Hoseok doesn't get what he wants, Hoseok beats him up. Whether it's his fault or not.

Tonight is no exception. Hoseok just finished beating him up because he said he was stressed from work.

Irrelevant, I know.

Minhyuk winced with every step he took. His ribs was literally poking his lungs, his head was in so much pain that he felt like slamming it onto a brick wall, and his legs weren't pail anymore. They were a mixture of purple, blue, yellow, and red.

Minhyuk groaned as he entered the bathroom. Hoseok left for their room a few minutes ago so he has this time to himself. Hoseok never beat him twice in one night unless he did something really bad.

Which is quite rare.

Minhyuk grabbed the first aid kit and slowly treated his wounds. He felt like fainting right there, but he knows he can't.

Minhyuk dabbed the wet cotton ball onto his cuts and hissed when the alcohol got onto his wound.

He took in a deep breath but winced when his chest hurt. Minhyuk felt tears well up in his eyes as he continued tending to his own wounds.

How did it come to this?

"Yah Lee Minhyuk! Come down here!"

Minhyuk stood up and ran downstairs when he heard his boyfriend call him angrily.

'Did something happen?' Minhyuk thought to himself

Minhyuk got to the last step and saw Hoseok standing near the couch with his hands on his waist. He was panting and his eyebrows were furrowed in frustration.

"Is something wrong hyung?" Minhyuk asked, stepping closer to Hoseok

"Did you take my report?!" Hoseok aggressively asked

Minhyuk's eyes widened, "What?? Hyung no. I haven't even touched your bag--"

"Don't lie to me! We're the only ones living here, and when I got to the meeting room, my file wasn't there! Do you know humiliating that was for me??! I got scolded by my boss in front of the whole office!" Hoseok yelled and harshly grabbed Minhyuk's forearms

Minhyuk was shaking in fear. Hoseok never yelled at him like this. Not even when he was mad. Hoseok was usually calm. Where did that Hoseok go?

"H--Hyung I p--promise I didn't t--take it." Minhyuk stuttered

Hoseok's eyebrows furrowed even more, "You liar?!!"

Minhyuk sat in the floor, holdong his cheek as the stinging pain never left. Hoseok just slapped him. His sweet Hoseok. Where is the sweet Hoseok?

Minhyuk sobbed as he remembered exactly when it started. Ever since that day, Hoseok always beat him up and always let out his anger on him.

Hoseok had all the excuses in the world. He'll beat Minhyuk up if he was stressed, tired, angry, or whenever he doesn't get what he wants.

Minhyuk was getting tired of it but he can't bring himself to leave Hoseok. He loved Hoseok too much to leave him.

Minhyuk closed his eyes as he leaned his head on the sink. He was tired. Physically, mentally, and emotionally.

No one knows that Hoseok is like this. He hasn't been leaving the house either, knowing that other people would ask him about his bruises and cuts. He can't risk being found out like that. Hoseok will beat him if they did.

Minhyuk sighed. He wants this to end.

But how?

"Yah Minhyuk-ah!"

Minhyuk stood up and went down the stairs. It's been 2 weeks since Hoseok last beat him up. Mainly because he was gone for 2 weeks because of some business trip.

"Yes hyung?" Minhyuk timidly asked

"I need you to buy this for me." Hoseok said and handed Minhyuk a piece of paper

Minhyuk took the paper with trembling hands and read what it says. Once Minhyuk realized what it said, his eyes widened in shock.

"But hyung, these are drugs. This is illegal." Minhyuk said, warning his hyung

Hoseok scoffed, "Do you think I'm stupid? Don't you think I already know that?"

Mimhyuk frantically shook his head, "I--I'm sorry hyung, but I can't. I could go to jail."

Hoseok stared at Minhyuk with glaring eyes, "That's why I'm making you buy them. If I did it, I could go to jail."

Minhyuk placed the paper on top of their coffee table, "I'm sorry hyung but I really can't."

Hoseok took a few steps towards Minhyuk, "You don't "want" to? And since when did I ask for your approval??" Hoseok said, crossing his arms

Minhyuk's brows furrowed, "Well what if I'm tired of always following you around?!" Minhyuk said in anger

Perhaps, he snapped.

Hoseok was obviously taken aback but quickly regained his composture.

"Say that again. I dare you." Hoseok sternly said

Minhyuk clenched his fists. He couldn't take it anymore. He wants to end things.

For good.

"I said I'm tired of always following you around! You keep beating me up for no reason and if I tried to fight back, you'd beat me up even more! I'm sick and tired of all of this! We used to be the perfect couple. But now we're barely a couple. I'm sorry hyung. But I' breaking up with you." Minhyuk yelled, tears streaming down his face before running up to their room and quickly packing his belongings

After he packed everything he needed, he went down and saw Hoseok standing in the same spot where he left him off.

Minhyuk headed for the door and spared one last glance at Hoseok, "I hope you have a nice life.. Hoseok hyung.."

And with that, Minhyuk walked out of the door and out of Hoseok's life.

'I did it.. I ACTUALLY did it.. It's finally over..' Minhyuk thought to himself

But is it really over?
