~Chapter 4- Celebrations~

Marco watched his mum run frantically out the room and stared at the cake on his bed.
Marco never liked having foreign exchange students, the first time one of them stayed with him, he got way to close with her, and it broke him when she left, so he swore he would never get close to another exchange student.
No matter how much they tried.
He worried way to much about what Jackie would think, maybe she would break up with him because she doesn't trust him?
Marco shook the thought from his head, "Jackie's way too nice for that..."
~Marco's pov~
But Star is kind of pretty.
Marco, no, you love Jackie.
I got up and headed to the bathroom, getting undressed and climbing into the shower, the warm water trickled all over me.
It was relaxing while it lasted, but eventually I had to leave and get ready to sleep.
The cake was still sitting on my bed, I wasn't really hungry, but didn't want to upset my mum and dad who had tried so hard to make it, so I ate it savouring it's taste and texture.
It was surprisingly nice.
I tucked up into bed and pulled out my phone, I had a message from Jackie.
Hey Marco, what's up? xx
I started to type a message back.
Hey Jackie, sorry for the late reply had to do some stupid celebrations for the new student. xx
I felt bad for lying, but when I got in, I really didn't feel like talking to her, she replied almost straight away.
Awww Marco, don't worry about her, you can stay mine if you ever want to get away from her, I know how annoying some foreign students can be. xx
Thanks Jackie, you still on to sleep mine this weekend? xx
Of course, I'll walk home with you tomorrow xx
Fine by me, enjoy my last bit of freedom before she lives with me I guess. xxx

I put my phone on my bedside cabinet and curled up around my blankets, feeling their warmth.
I didn't know why I was worrying so much, the last student was easy to ignore, so I guess I'll just repeat what I did last time.
I eventually managed to fall asleep, even though I felt so sad the night before.
