Touched by an Angel

Confession

"Cas what are you doing here?" Dean whispered afraid to wake Sam. Cas pushed himself off the counter and stalked over to Dean making sure he didn't trip this time. Dean, liking Cas' confidence, watched and waited for Cas. Cas stopped when their chests touched, and leaned his face towards Dean's so close that all they need was a slight movement for them to kiss. Dean closed eyes and took in a shaky breath. Castiel closed his eyes as well but constantly peeked to see if Dean's eyes were still closed.

"Would you mind making the first move? I-don't know how." Castiel murmured, shyly. Dean laughed, a melody to Castiel's ears. Dean brushed his fingertips up Castiel's arms and rested them on his shoulders as one hand slowly rose to caress his cheek. Castiel wrapped his arms around Dean's waist and Dean slightly brought Castiel's face to his, but that was all it took. Castiel's soft lips interlocked with Dean's. Dean pulled away to catch his breath, and Castiel loosened his grip around his waist.

"I think I heard Sam." Dean whispered in Castiel's ear. Castiel backed away and walked to Sam's room. Upon opening the door Sam walked out,

"What's going on?" Castiel and Dean both cleared their throats as they thought of what had just happened. Sam raised his eyebrows and looked at Dean and Cas.

"Cas says that-." Dean stops.

"That Dean should catch me up on the research." Castiel completed, not breaking his gaze from Sam. Sam shifts from foot to foot uncomfortable from Cas' gaze.

"Cas, you're-making me uncomfortable." Sam hesitates.

"Oh." Cas recognizes as he looks away from Sam. Sam walks away but looks behind him consistently out of suspicion. As soon as Sam closes his door Cas struts to Dean. Dean closes his eyes. Tilting his face up he briefly kisses Dean on his soft pink lips and whispers,

"Goodnight, Dean." the last word echoes in Deans head as the sound of wings fill the empty air. Dean opens his eyes, but Cas is gone.
