Her Burning Feelings

Chapter 1 -The Beginning of A New Friendship

"Report to your respective classes by 7.20am on Wednesday, 2nd of January..." I read the notification on my phone and sighed. It is now the 1st of January 2013, the last day of the holidays but it was already over to me. Izanami was busy packing her bag to get prepared for the 1st day of school. Everybody else on the whatsap group were encouraging each other and giving instructions on what to bring for the 1st day. I, on the other hand, was busy staring into space...

"Dammit. I have to meet people again..." Izanami broke the silence as we were lying beside each other but on our own beds. "We will be in different classes again." I thought as I just gave her a reassuring smile to cheer her up. We will always talk about the next day of school before going to sleep to predict how our day is going to be but we both know it is going to be bad. Meeting new people, the overwhelming feelings and the fears of being left out. I don't want to feel that... Atleast I have Yukio by my side while Izanami has Akhisa. I whatsapped Yukio to confirm again what I should bring and wear for school tomorrow and she gave a quick reply. We both usually sleep quite late at night but for today, I ended the conversation with greeting, "Oyasumi" by 10.30pm and soon, we both drifted off to sleep.

"Kougami Yamato... Kougami Sensei?" I repeated as the Physics teacher wrote his name on the blackboard. Familiar faces could be seen around me as I sank into my seat next to Yukio. After greeting our new sensei, a series of self introductions were given and finally it was my turn. "Shimatta..." I dragged myself to the front of the classroom, took a deep breath and finally breath out a simple introduction of myself. "Hello... I am Ayano Kazumi but just call me Ayano. Etto... I like watching anime and the colour pink and... I hope to be friends with all of you!" Their eyes were intimidately staring at me! I felt the pressure and hesitated at the last moment! I sat back down and Yukio calmed me down by praising me for being brave to go infront. We know each other for a year now so she knows how going infront of the class is a big problem for me.

"Hi! My name is Nero and... Hahah! I just want to be friends with you all!" The blondie kept figitting around and laughing to herself. "She's making a fool out of herself..." I thought to myself. The others seemed to have their full attention to the newbie like nothing was wrong. "I hope she can get enough friends here." She is a transfer student from another school so this will be her 1st year in Nomarū Highschool. I was alittle worried for her because almost the whole class knew each other because we all were formally from class 1-1 and we promoted to class 2-1 but she is totally from a different school. She is the only stranger to us here. "Does she like anime?" I asked myself as I remembered an anime I just recently watched called, "Kaichou wa Maid-sama!" She looked abit like the type to watch anime too but maybe I was mistaken...

Please do tell me so that I can make that change. And I know that there isn't much dialogs but in the next chapter there will where Ayano and Nero starts getting to know each other!
