Jennie had been living on Earth for hundreds of years. She had witnessed every beginning and end of everything. She had no memories of her own family. All she could remember was Chaeyoung, she was the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes. Chaeyoung was her "creator". Chaeyoung was a doctor and she invented a medicine that could make a person immortal and Jennie was one of her "experiments" (that's what Chaeyoung told her). Jennie was one of the first generation of vampires but it was said that most of them were dead and only a few were still alive.

Ever since Jennie was reborn, Chaeyoung was her teacher. They grew close to each other. When Chaeyoung was feeling guilty about Jennie not knowing her past, she decided to tell only if Jennie would agree. And when the latter did, Chaeyoung started her story.

The two were best friends in their teenage years. Back then, education was not something everyone could afford but Chaeyoung was lucky enough to be in school while Jennie wasn't. Chaeyoung pursued to be a doctor to be able to help the people in need just like what she dreamed of. She traveled the world to cure every people she could cure and she became famous because of it. But then one day, she found out Jennie had a disease that had no cure. She couldn't lose her, she loved her more than a friend. Losing her would feel like losing herself too. So Chaeyoung began doing research about Jennie's case and she wouldn't let herself rest for a while unless the information she needed was complete. Until she thought what if she invent a medicine that could make a human immortal? But since Jennie was becoming weaker each day, Chaeyoung did her best to make the medicine in just 2 weeks and was barely even able to sleep. After the trials and errors in both animals and humans, she told Jennie about her invention. Chaeyoung was still uncertain whether it would work on Jennie or not. But there's not much time left, Jennie was already dying. Before Jennie could intake the medicine, she asked Chaeyoung a favor; Chaeyoung had to tell her parents that she's already dead because she's sure they wouldn't approve anything that they're doing and just in case the medicine would fail, so Chaeyoung did.

Chaeyoung's invention was a success. Jennie woke up but with no memory, she could remember. Chaeyoung was both glad and sad at the same time. Jennie was finally far from dying but she couldn't remember her. Her invention was introduced to the public, knowing that her invention would help many people.

But as time went by, Jennie was craving for something unusual, she was craving for blood. Human blood. Chaeyoung noticed Jennie's changes whenever she would come near her. Jennie would always look at her neck and she would lick her teeth (her fangs) and she would gulp as if she was thirsty. She also noticed that Jennie's warm skin was slowly becoming as cold as ice and she was becoming pale. Chaeyoung thought maybe her invention was in fact a failure, what if Jennie was dying again because of the medicine she made her take? But Jennie told her she was just fine and wasn't feeling anything unusual, except that she's craving for blood most of the time.

Since Chaeyoung was curious about how blood would affect Jennie's behavior, she cut her finger in front of Jennie and dropped her own blood. In a blink of an eye, Jennie pinned her on the floor. Jennie was holding her finger and was about to put it in her mouth but she realized what she was doing. She quickly stood up and helped Chaeyoung to get up as well. She didn't want to hurt Chaeyoung, she had learned to love her since Chaeyoung was always there to take care of her.

"You should stay away from me. I'm becoming more dangerous everyday." Jennie said, taking a step backward.

"No, I'm not going to lose you." Chaeyoung said.

"Then I'm going to lose you. I don't want that to happen." Jennie sighed. "I shouldn't have let you help me. You should've let me die." Chaeyoung walked towards her and held both of her hands.
