currently, i was in the hospital. cody and kiké were right by my side. the doctor came back, he had taken some ex-rays. "good news or bad?" he asks setting his files of papers down on a table. "ba-" "good." kiké interrupts. "alright. on a positive note, she'll be able to play in a month, which means she won't miss that much of her softball season. only a quarter. bad news is, it's broken." i sigh and throw my head back. "dang." i whispered. "hey, that's okay mila. you'll be able to play the rest of the season. just a month. and i'll help you each day, you'll regain your strength." cody winks and gives me a charming smile. i nod weakly at him and return the smile. "thanks doc." kiké smiles. "no problem."

the doctors had put me in a brace instead of a cast, i begged them not to make me wear a freaking cast. i would never accept that i got hurt, i just couldn't. usually, i never ever get injured. "still up for dinner?" cody asks and i nod my head. "yeah." i grin. "alright. i'll go back to my place and get dressed, and you can get ready. i'll be here at 8." he winks and heads towards his house. it was only 6, so after an hour of being lazy and watching new girl, i decided to go ahead and get ready. i put on a white, off the shoulder crop top with some high waisted ripped jeans and a black belt. i then did my hair, braiding it down the middle and putting in a bun, then curling the rest of my hair that was left down. next i did some simple makeup with some pretty eyeshadow, and i was ready.

the clock read 7:50, so i went downstairs and slipped on some black sandals. finally, i was ready. the doorbell rang, and i opened it up to see a very handsome looking cody bellinger. he had a blue, long-sleeved button up on and some black jeans. dang.

"you look amazing." he bites his lip and looks me up and down, and i can't help but blush. "thanks. you look good too." i smile. he takes my hand. "shall we go?" he grins and i shake my head yes. i couldn't wait to see what the night was going to be like.

a/n. hey guys. sorry this was such a short chapter! it was just a little filler, i don't have much time right now to write lol. also, i'm so proud of cody! he's been doing amazing and his hitting has been so great. a grand slam friday and two homers today♡ that's my boy!!
