Chapter 8 - Girls' Day

Reader's Pov:

I was following Carla around the local mall, and my feet were already aching. We haven't even been at the mall for an hour! I really need to work out more.

"Oh! Let's go to this store!" Carla dragged me into a clothing store. She chose different types of clothing and went to the dressing room while I sat in the chair to wait for her.

"So (Y/n), mind telling me the truth?" She called from the dressing room. "H-Huh? What truth?" I asked. "About your feelings for Eren, of course! I'm not that oblivious! Eren wouldn't have let you sleep alone last night. Let me guess, you two woke up in a weird position, and fell into another weird position this morning, right? That's why you two were acting so weird this morning. Trust me, the same thing happened with me and a Grisha when we were younger." She said.

"Uh, yeah..." I admitted shamefully. "So tell me: Do you like Eren?" She asked while coming out of the dressing room in one of the outfits she picked out.

"I guess I do. But why was I the last one to figure out my feelings, Carla? Everyone else kept saying "oh, is it official?" Or "those two are so cute!" I just don't get why everyone else knew but us." I ranted.

"Well, don't forget that Eren probably doesn't know about his feelings about you, yet. Just take my advice and let Eren come to you. If you remember in the past, he always liked to be bold with his moves. But then again, this is you we're talking about.." Carla trailed off.

"Carla, this isn't helping." I said. She laughed. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Just do what you do best and go with the flow, okay?" She asked. I nodded to her words and she went back to the dressing room to try on more outfits.

Afterwards, she took me to some type of jewelry store and told me to close my eyes. I gave her a skeptical look but did so anyways. I soon felt a cold metal lay around my neck, which caused me to open my eyes and look down at what it was (the picture at top).

"I hope this is all right. I kind of expected you to have a crush on Eren sooner or later because of how long you two have known each other. I guess you can say this is my way of approving it." Carla said.

"I love it. Thank you so much." I responded. I gave her a hug and she giggled in surprise. We pull away from the hug and made our way to the food court where we were going to meet up with Eren and his dad for dinner.

"I really appreciate that your spending time with us this weekend, (Y/n). To be quite honest, Eren thought it would be a bother to you." Carla admitted.

I smile at her. "It's my pleasure. I would love to come over more often, but like I said, Eren never invites me." I said. She nodded to my words. "Well, don't be a stranger. Take control and come over whenever!" I laughed and nodded. "Right, will do." "Well well, what do we have here?"

I internally groan and turned around to see Mikasa, Annie, and Ymir. "Oh, hey! Didn't know you guys were stalking me, now. What? Don't have a life?" I asked. "BURNNN!" Carla called.

"Excuse me? Who goes shopping in a mall with their Mom?" Ymir smirked. "Good question, who does? She isn't my mom. Meet Carla Jaeger." I introduced.

"EREN'S MOM?!" The three of them shouted.  "You better believe it! Now move your asses before I kick 'em! I ain't about to let you whores mess with Eren's beloved!" Carla said. "Carla!" I protested in embarrassment.

"They're dating?! But I'm the one who's supposed to be dating you're son, Mrs. Jaeger!" Mikasa whined. "A whiny bitch like you? No way in hell. I've heard everything you've done. Now you all better leave my sight before I do it for you!"

With that, the three of them ran off, making me sigh in relief. "Thanks. They are always tracking me down because of my friendship with Eren." I said. "No problem. As long as you two are by each other's side, nothing will break you apart forever."

Sorry if Carla seemed occ in this chapter. I wanted her to be the badass mom that protects the relationship between her son and his crush and all that. Anyway! Hope you enjoyed this one!
