Chapter 1 - Friends

Reader's Pov:

It was Saturday. Saturday was the day of sleep for me. Or...so I thought.

My brother, Reiner, comes bursting through my bedroom door at noon and disturbs my peace. Our parents were usually out of town for business trips, so we were alone for most of the time.

"Hey, (Y/n)! Are you going to be sleeping all day?!" Reiner asked me.

"Yeah...I usually do. Why?" I mumbled into my pillow. "It's our last Saturday before we head back to school for another nine months. Are you seriously going to waste it?"

"I'm not wasting it, I'm trying to sleep. Why don't you go hang out with Bertholdt like you always do?" I asked.

He sighed before closing my door. I slightly smiled to myself, snuggling into my blankets and burying my head further into my pillows.

I was about to fall back to sleep until a sudden weight launched itself onto my bed. I screamed as I ended up flying to the floor.

"Hey, (Y/n)! Why are you sleeping AGAIN?!"

"What the actual flip, Eren? You can't just invite yourself into some girl's bedroom and come tumbling into her bed!" I retorted as I slowly pushed myself off the floor.

"This isn't some girl's bedroom, though. This is your bedroom. Also, I didn't invite myself, Reiner invited me to wake you up."

I glared at him to see him wear a cheeky grin. I groaned before standing up and walking over to my closet. "Get out, I'll be out in a few minutes."

"Nah, I'm staying here to make sure you don't fall asleep again."

I grabbed the closest shirt and began hitting him with it, making him laugh. "GET OUT, YOU PEEVERT!"

So this is how our friendship usually went. We usually insult each and made fun of each other, but really, when someone tried to hurt us, the other had our backs.

He finally gave up and gave me some peace so I could change. I changed into the (f/c) T-shirt I was hitting Eren with and denim shorts. I went to the bathroom and did my usual stuff before heading downstairs. I grabbed a piece of bread to eat since I haven't had anything to eat today due to sleeping.

I was about to sit in my usual spot on the couch which was on the left side, but Eren grabbed my arm and pulled me over to sit with him on the right side of the couch.

I rolled my eyes before giving in and sitting next to him. Eren smiled in triumph before wrapping an arm around my shoulders. This was a usual sitting position for us, but Reiner suddenly took it the wrong way.

"Is it finally official?" Reiner smirked.

Eren and I gave him a confused look. "Is what official?" I asked.

Reiner pointed at the two of us. "You two..." He then crossed his fingers and raised his eyebrows suggestively.

At this movement, I accidentally choked on my bread as Eren pushed me away from him embarrassingly. "What the hell is wrong with you, man? We're best friends!"

"Since Preschool. You guys are 15 now. Something is bound to happen. A guy and a girl can't stay friends for this long and not have something happen at least once." Reiner pointed out.

"Whatever you say, Reiner." I said as I took a drink of Eren's water that Eren offered. "Yeah, you need to lay off on the drugs."

I gave the water back to Eren and he sets it back on the table next to him before wrapping his arms around back around me.

Eren suddenly picked up his phone and went on Snapchat. He began messing around with the filters, making weird and silly faces. He then goes to the common dog filter and turns it on the both of us.

I do the pose I usually do and wink while sticking my tongue out. It worked out quite well since Eren's natural pose is tilting his head and sticking his tongue out. So it looked like I was laughing at being tickled by Eren's dog ear.

"That's a good one. I saving it and posting it." Eren smiled. "Psh, every picture you take is always good while I make us look like potatoes" I pout.

"Be quiet, your pictures are fine." Eren said while giving me a side hug. Though, I pouted in the hug as well.
