Day 8. Shopping

"Dan, we need to go shopping for Louisa today, she needs some new clothes." Phil said, hugging Dan from behind.

"Do we have to?" He replied. "I'd rather stay like this."

Phil kissed Dan's cheek. "Yes, we do. Go and make her some toast; she likes-"

"I know, Nutella with the crusts on. I'm a good dad, Phil."

"You're alright, I guess..."

"Shut up." Dan slapped Phil on the arm.

Phil laughed and went to wake Louisa up.

"Daddy? Can we some chocolate?" Louisa asked Dan.

Dan opened his mouth to reply, but Phil cut in.

"No, you've already had Nutella today, no more."

"You're no fun, Philly." Dan replied. "Can you do the rest of the boring food shopping? I'll take Louisa to get some new clothes."

Phil looked at Dan, knowing what he was up to. "Alright, but don't buy her any chocolates."

"Fine."

"Daddy? Are we going to get chocolate?"

"Of course! We'll say it's for me, but you can have some."

Louisa smiled. "I love you, daddy."

"I love you too, Louisa." He picked her up and gave her a kiss.

"Oh my gosh, is that Dan?" Someone said. Dan's head shot up instantly. "It is!" Two girls came running up to him. "Hi! We're subscribers!"

"Hey! It's so nice to meet you! Do you want a picture?"

"Yeah!"

"Daddy, why do they want a picture with you?"

Dan's eyes widened in shock, he was hoping to play Louisa off as just a friend's child.

"Did she say Daddy? Dan... What?"

"You know what? It's kind of hard to explain, but basically, Phan is real. Selfie time!"

They took a selfie- with Louisa in it as well- before they had to say goodbye to Dan. "Phil's in Tesco, by the way, you should go say hi."

Dan set up his camera, preparing to film a video explaining everything. He and Phil were going to confirm Phan and show Louisa to the people of the Internet.

"Should we do the thumbnail?" Phil asked. "We could kiss and then you could blur out my face so you don't see me until the video starts."

"That sounds good." Dan smiled.
