Ash and the others reached at Luregon Village just in time for the festival. It was night. The festival would take place the next day. Our heroes decided to spend the night at the Pokemon center. As they walked through the village, they saw all the decorations being made for the festival. The event was scheduled to last for two days. All the people and Pokemons were working together to decorate the whole village. Reaching at the Pokemon centre, the four booked a room with four beds. They put their backpacks at the room and Ash, Serena and Bonnie went out to take a walk around the village. Clemont stayed back to work on his new invention. As they were walking, Bonnie pulled Serena's skirt lightly and motioned her to take Ash's hand. Serena blushed hard. Her cheeks turned totally red as well as her hand as she tried to hold Ash's hand. Ash was busy checking out the beautiful surroundings. He did not notice Serena and Bonnie. The whole village was being decorated like a bride. Ash watched on in amusement as the people were hanging lights on the walls, shifting beautiful stuff from one place to another. The atmosphere would be enough to make anyone feel light. But Ash knew that it was not the only thing that made him feel good at the moment. He felt good because he was walking right next to Serena. He felt good because they were enjoying the beauty together. Nothing could take those moments away from him. On the other hand, Bonnie kept motivating Serena to hold Ash's hand. Serena made up much confidence inside her and went for Ash's hand. But at the moment she was about to hold it, Ash turned his head toward her. "Everything is so beautiful isn't it?" He said. Then he noticed the blush on Serena's cheeks. He did not get what the matter was. Serena immediately pulled her hand behind her. Her blush grew even more. Ash put his hand on her forehead and said, "You don't seem to have a fever, are you alright?" Serena could see there was concern in his eyes. "Yeah I'm fine." She said as she nodded yes. Ash still looked concerned. He had seen Serena like that many times but never got what it was all about. But he did think she looked cute like that. The thought made him blush a little too. Bonnie decided to take the situation under control and tried to drag the two saying that she was tired and needed to sleep. So they walked back to the Pokemon centre. Serena was a bit upset as she couldn't hold Ash's hand. But she decided to do it the next day. At dinner, Clemont informed them that there was a competition about to take place in the festival. Competing trainers would have to face each other in one and one battles through the whole day. One could challenge another anywhere and any-when during the festival. The trainer who loses a battle will be disqualified. The last remaining trainer would be given a set of evolution stones. Naturally, Ash was excited about the competition and decided to enter. The new thing was, Serena and Clemont decided to enter too. Bonnie was disappointed as she was too young to own a Pokemon and enter. The three entered their names for the competition in the counter of the Pokemon centre. Nurse Joy handed them some kind of badges. There were green lights in the centre. "What are these for?" asked Clemont. Nurse Joy informed that the green lights were to notify that the trainer is competing. If a trainer lost a battle, the light would turn red. Everyone understood the fact. They thanked Nurse Joy and went to their room to sleep. The day had been tiring, so most of them fell quick asleep. Only one person was awake at that point. It was Ash. He looked at Serena who was sleeping peacefully on her bed. She looked really cute. Her calm breathing and the slight smile she wore made Ash's mind and heart go blank. To him the only existing thing was the girl right in-front of him. He wanted so much to take her in his arms. Minutes passed silently with Ash doing nothing but looking dreamily at Serena. Before long his body started to feel weak. He did not realize when he fell asleep. The next morning was beautiful indeed. The sun shone brightly on the Sinnoh region. One could hear the bird Pokemons sing their songs. Morning Bridge filled the atmosphere adding a comforting effect. Ash opened his eyes and saw that the room was empty. He got up, got into his general outfit and went to the cafeteria. He found his friends sitting there talking. They had brought food for everyone and were waiting for Ash to come so that they could all eat together. "Where is Ash?" Bonnie asked as she was starving. "He should be up by now. I'll go get him." Serena said as she got up. Bonnie smirked evilly and said, "Yeah go get him Serena." Her voice made it clear to Serena what she meant. She blushed hard but decided to let it pass and stepped out. Just then she saw Ash coming and stopped. "Ash" she said. Bonnie and Clemont looked behind and saw Ash too. "Too bad!" Expressed Bonnie. Serena blushed a bit and took her seat again. Ash joined them and sat right next to Serena. Sitting next to each-other made them both feel Vivillons inside their stomachs. They finished the breakfast and went outside. The whole village had already been decorated and was looking awesome. All the houses and trees too were dressed in flowers, lights and so many other beautiful things. Although the lights were not lit since it was daytime, they still looked great. Serena was extremely excited. Not only because of the festival but also and mostly because she was determined that she would hold Ash's hand. She told herself "You can do it" and went to take Ash's hand. Her cheeks and hand turned red again. Again Ash did not notice as he walked admiring the surroundings. This time, as Serena almost held Ash's hand Bonnie ran off excited as she could see the shops and rides. She had been ahead of the other three the whole time, but now seeing the main festival sight, she could not hold her excitement. "I'll go get her." Ash said as he ran after Bonnie. Again, Serena didn't get the chance. As Ash reached Bonnie, he saw her standing in-front of a shop. She was looking at something. "Hey Bonnie, What are you looking at?" Ash asked as he turned the way she was looking at. It was a stuffed –toy shop. Bonnie pointed at a green toy and said, "Look, it looks like Squishy!" She said. Ash looked and saw a stuffed-toy that looked like the Zygarde-core. "I want it." Bonnie said. Ash understood Bonnie liked it really much. "I'll buy it for you if you promise not to run off." He said with a smile. Bonnie hopped in joy and cried in excitement, "Yey." Her excitement made Ash feel good as-well. He bought her the toy. By then Serena and Clemont had almost reached there. They stopped at a distance at the sight of Ash and Bonnie. They had to stop so that Clemont could hold his breathe. They saw Ash buying Bonnie the toy. They were both pleased at the sight." They are just like brother and sister." Serena stated. Clemont just watched on and nodded. He felt like he could not ask for anything else. He and his friends were like one big happy family. They were about to go to Ash and Bonnie as they heard someone call out. They turned around and saw a girl running towards them. She had her hair bound in a ponytail. She was wearing a yellow top and a red miniskirt. "Hey do you guys know Ash?" The girl said as she reached Serena and Clemont. The former two were confused as neither of them knew who the girl was. Serena answered her question by just nodding while Clemont said,"Yeah, why?" "And how do you know Ash, who are you?" Serena added. The girl extended her hand and said, "I'm Macy. I competed against Ash in the silver conference years ago. We were to go on a date...but couldn't, because of someone." Clemont shook hands with her. "I'm Clemont..." He said. Serena on the other hand was standing still. The fact that Ash was about to go on a date with Macy caught her by surprise. She feared in her heart if Macy was going to become a problem in her way of getting Ash. Clemont and Macy looked at her in wonder as she stood there still. And then came Ash and Bonnie. As Macy saw Ash coming, she called out his name. Ash saw her and smiled as he always does. "Hey Macy." He said. Macy smiled at him. "SO you do remember my name..." She said. Ash smiled awkwardly. "Why would I not remember you?" He asked. Then he noticed Serena's state. He put his hand on her cheek and said," Are you alright Serena?" Serena instantly snapped out of her stance and nodded, "Yeah", she said. A blush formed on her cheeks. Both she and Ash smiled at each-other as they looked eye in eye. This did not go unnoticed by Bonnie. Neither did it go unnoticed by Macy. Bonnie fangirled in her mind while Macy thought Serena as another obstacle between her and Ash. As Ash turned towards her again, Macy grabbed Ash's hand and asked him for a date. Serena felt like she was hit by a herd of Tauros. She had been trying to hold Ash's hand but just couldn't, and Macy held his hand in no time and even asked him for a date. It was too much for Serena. On the other hand Ash was struggling to answer. He did not want to go at all. He wanted to spend his time with Serena. But still, 'no' was not something Macy would accept. "I'm sorry I don't have time. I want to be with......" Ash tried to turn her down calmly. But anyway, Macy was tough. "Come on, what's wrong in going on a date with me?...I know I've become quite beautiful, and Misty is not around either. So let's go!" Macy tried to convince Ash. She wasn't totally wrong though. Both her and Ash were single, and she really had grown quite beautiful.-Enough to make guys want her. But here, the case was different. To Ash, No one could be even close to how beautiful Serena was. And he knew he would not be able to stay comfortable if he was not with Serena. So there was no way he was going on a date with Macy. But again, Macy was headstrong. She kept trying to convince Ash. All of this had become awkward for Clemont, annoying for Bonnie, and unbearable for Serena. As Macy tried to lean in closer to Ash, Serena jumped in between them and pushed her away. Macy seemed furious with it. "Why did you do that?" She yelled. Serena seemed angry as-well. "You have bothered us enough, Ash is spending the day with me!....WITH US!" She yelled back as her cheeks turned a little bit red again. The boys couldn't understand the 'me' part but Bonnie and Macy did. Macy got jealous at the fact that Serena could stay so close to Ash. And seeing him touch her cheeks had made her mad already. She couldn't take it anymore. She clenched her teeth and punched Serena in the face. Although it didn't reach Serena as Ash blocked it. Everyone was silent for a while. Then Macy came up with something. She challenged Serena to a one and one festival battle. The winner would have the opportunity to spend the evening with Ash. The four heroes had totally forgotten about the festival and the competition. Serena hesitated a little but accepted the challenge. So it turned out like this, Serena and Macy stood in a distance from each-other, Clemont stood by the middle of the gap and acted as the referee, Bonnie and Ash both stood as spectators, hoping for Serena to win.
"Trainers, send out your Pokemons!" Yelled Clemont. Both Serena and Macy threw their poke-balls and Delphox and Typhlosion popped out. The Pokemons took their battling stances. Clemont announced the start and both trainers started with flame thrower. The attacks collided and created an explosion. Then Macy commanded Typhlosion to use flame reel. Delphox tried to douche but failed. The attack hit it, knocking it back. Serena was socked and Ash and Bonnie were concerned. But they both knew that they could count on Serena. "Are you ok Delphox?" Serena asked her Pokemon. The Pokemon looked back and nodded. "Well then, use fire blast." Serena commanded. Macy yelled for Typhlosion to use fire blast too. The collision again created an explosion. Macy did not waste any time and used flame reel again. This time, Serena countered with another fire blast. It successfully stopped Typhlosion on its tracks. Again, Serena had Delphox use another fire blast. It scored a direct hit and Typhlosion was send back flying. Bonnie and Ash cheered for Serena as they witnessed the hit. But using fire blast three times in a row made Delphox breathe heavily. Serena and Macy used their final attacks to finish the battle as Serena commanded Delphox to use flare blitz and Macy had Typhlosion use flame reel. The attacks collided, causing smoke to cover the area. When it blew Typhlosion was revealed fainted and Delphox was somehow standing. "Typhlosion is unable to battle, Delphox wins, that means the battle goes to Serena." Clemont announced. Serena, Ash and Bonnie were extremely happy. Macy was upset as she could not go on a date with Ash now. She was going to walk away when Ash called her. She turned around but didn't say a thing. Ash invited her to spend the day with them. Serena did not like it but she was always ok with Ash's decisions. "Alright then, I'm gonna win the competition!" Exclaimed Macy. Everyone laughed. Macy could not get it. Then Clemont pointed to her badge. The light had turned red. Macy fell anime style and everyone laughed even louder.
The rest of the day was fun for everybody. Especially for Bonnie and Ash of-course, with Bonnie being a kid and Ash being able to be with Serena. The results of the competition were simple. Other trainers didn't stand much of a chance against Ash. The final was between Ash and Serena and it ended up being a tie between Lycanrock and Sylveon. Later on, the gang enjoyed to their fullest. They didn't realize when the day passed. In the evening, everyone was sitting on the top of the biggest whirligig, watching the beautiful fireworks. They all looked in awe as the fireworks lit up the sky. Different colors, different shapes, different patterns, everything was so perfectly binding the viewers into spells. Although Ash preferred staring at Serena rather than to watch the fireworks. Her beautiful blue eyes reflected the lights. Her short honey-blond hair waved in the soothing air. The smile on her face could heal anything. Ash felt an unlimited amount of confidence and pleasure looking at her. To him, she was a goddess showing him the wonders of life. Ash thought it was one of the most comforting moments of his life. But he was soon proved wrong. He was sitting between Macy and Serena. He suddenly felt someone lean on his shoulder. It was Macy. It felt so awkward. Ash wished he had changed his seat. He was about to stand up as he felt someone else lean on his other shoulder and wrap her arms around his. Ash did not want to get up anymore. Although he did not want Macy to be so close to him, he could not miss the chance of being so close to Serena. So he sat there. Half of him felt awkward and discomfort as Macy lied her head on one of his shoulders and the other half felt incredible pleasure and excitement as Serena leaned on his shoulder and hugged his arm.
