Phil decided to walk with Dan to the lunchroom. Phil held onto Dan's sleeve to avoid the chance of being lost in the sea of people running in the hall. Phil glanced at Dan, who was blushing, and smiled to himself.
Phil dragged Dan into the cafeteria. It was less crowded with all the open space in the room. They walked to the long line of people and found their place in line. There were burgers and pizza today so there was definitely a reason for the amount of people. There's usually at least 200 but today there were like a million.
Dan and Phil made their way to their table. There were people sitting in the seats and Phil asked them to kindly leave as those were his and Dan's seat. They stubbornly told him no and Dan said they could sit somewhere else.
They walked to a seat at the back by the windows.
“Oh well, at least we get to look outside," Dan said to brighten Phil's mood.
“Yup. At least," Phil tried to hide his grumble.
They made small talk while finishing up the food. After they were done, they talked about random things like if hamsters (war flashbacks) have ever gone to space. (Have they? I'm actually curious)
