~Amaya's POV~
I sighed heavily as I stepped in front of the main gate to the Leaf Village. As I looked around I saw the town bustling with people. I was happy to be home, but if I was honest with myself nervous as well. It's been 11 years since my old teammate and I were promoted to jonin, but the day before our first mission...~Flashback~
"Kakashi come on we're going to be to early," I complained to the silver haired ninja who was walking way to fast for my liking. All his response consisted of was a grunt as he kept walking. I groaned and trudged on behind him. I admit I have a little crush on him, but I'm not going to ruin our friendship. Despite his rude demeanor him and I got close when I came into the village after finding both my parents murdered in their bed.I sighed again begging for his attention but he was nose deep in some book. We reached the gate within minutes and I immediately had a sinking feeling in my gut. I grabbed Kakashi's shoulder and shook him, but he only brushed off my hand. I began looking for the team and saw Minato-sensei, he looked proud to have two official jonins as we approached each other. He gave me a small hug and Kakashi a pat on the back. He had gifts for us both, two matching kunai. Kakashi and I fiddled with them as two large men approached.
"Hello sweetheart are you Amaya Morita?" The larger of the two snarled as he bent down to be eye level with me. I tried taking a step back but only managed to bump into the other man. I looked desperately to my sensei and Kakashi who both looked alarmed.
"How can we help you? She's my student and I can't just let you harass her like this," Minato finally spoke up, grabbing me from between the two men. They both glanced between one another as a third man came out of nowhere. He grabbed Minato and put a blade dripping with poison up to his neck.
"Let her go or you'll regret it," he cooly stated. Minato turned around to attack but was simply stabbed by the poison blade, which narrowly missed a vital spot. He dropped to the ground, clutching his stomach. I had never seen the Yellow Flash beaten so easily before. Real fear welled up inside of me as I realized there was nothing that could be done to stop these ruffians.
"Minato-sensei!" Kakashi and I both yelled. I turned around and got in front of Kakashi, willing to lose my life to protect the one person who had been there for me when I arrived here. However, before I could do anything I was grabbed by the largest man. I squirmed, hit, and kicked but it was no use. He tied a chakra rope around my hands and feet so I couldn't get free. I glanced at Kakashi desperately as I was flung over the man's shoulder, but he was fighting with the other two men and unfortunately losing.
"Come on boys, we need to get her back to the boss before he gets anxious," the one who held me stated. One of the men walked over while the other shot some type of attack at Kakashi, knocking him to the ground easily. A pool of blood began to form around his motionless body and I began to cry out, cursing myself for not being able to help.
"Kakashi!" I screamed hoping to keep him awake long enough for Rin to come assist him. His eyes fluttered open and he lifted his head up enough to see me. I could see him struggling to stand and I only shook my head, "Kakashi I love you! You'll make a great ninja I know it. I'll make it out and back here or die trying! Please protect Minato, Rin, and Obito! You guys are like family to me." I finished before losing it in sobs.
He stared in shock and hopelessness as tears silently fell from his eyes. I saw his mouth move but couldn't make out what he was saying. As we exited through the main gates, one of the men walked back over and kicked his stomach, knocking him out. I tried calling his name but nothing came out. I had put him and Minato-sensei in danger and couldn't even help. I felt nothing as tears streamed endlessly from my eyes and we set out for the worst years of my life.
~Back To Current Time~
I snapped myself out of it and took a deep breath before stepping in to the village. I walked over to where the Hokage building was and got assigned an apartment. I had been here for half a year in the Anbu but I was never in the village for more than 10 minuets, collecting a new mission and leaving again, this was a fresh start as a regular ninja. I walked quickly to my new apartment and unpacked for the rest of the day.I sat down on my bed after unpacking the bedding and making it. I laid back and let out a loud sigh. Tomorrow I need to see the Hokage first thing in the morning to be assigned a task. It would take hours to finish my apartment. I smirked as I made 10 shadow clones and sent them to finish decorating my apartment as I slid into my nightgown and took off my bra.
I bounced back onto the bed and looked out the big window that spanned most of the wall my bed was beside. I saw a silver haired ninja and some weird man with large eyebrows and a green, skintight suit approaching the building. I squinted to get a better look at the silver haired ninja which looked to familiar for comfort. He glanced up at my window and I laid back quickly. I slipped under the covers and drifted to sleep with an odd thought creeping into my mind, what if that was Kakashi?
