Arthur turned to face her, and fear instantly ran through her body. That didn't last long, however, before her anger took over, and she turned around and charged towards the receptionist that had begun to become a major inconvenience in her path.

A voice in the back of her head told her to stop, that this girl wasn't her target, but she ignored it and continued forward. Her anger had officially take over her body, and there was no helping her now.

The eyes of the girl widened in fear at the realization of what was about to happen. Bethany didn't even think twice before she bashed the wine bottle over her head, and the girl fell to the floor with a thud.

Immediately, Bethany turned to the object of purpose there. He didn't appear afraid, but his eyes never left the body of his receptionist, unconscious on his office floor.

Bethany began to approach him again, waiting for him to try and run. She was fully set to chase after him if she had to, but he never did. What he did do, however, was speak: "I know who you are, and why you are here." She froze from his words, a few steps away from where he stood. "I remember mostly everything about that day; it's hard to forget. I grew up with your father, he always was a jealous and spiteful man, but to do what he did to you, his own daughter; that was an all-time low, even for him."

Bethany's mind ticked, and as the man in front of her began to speak again, she lost control of herself, and he hands were grasped around his neck the very next instant. He didn't put up a fight or try to get them off, just merely stood there, waiting his fate as his oxygen levels began to drop.

"You have to fight it; remember you who are," he managed to get out as he gasped for air. "That is the only way you will ever escape his grasp." Bethany put all of her strength into her hold on him, and she squeezed as hard as she could. The next moment, Arthur's body went limp in her hands, and she let him fall to the floor.

A purple aurora began to escape from his body and entered into Bethany's nostrils. She had rid of the second vessel, and her kindness had returned to her. Something else escaped the body shortly after: it was an oddly shaped, black, ball-like object, that flew out the window and was gone in an instant.

Bethany had no idea what is was or where it went, but she had a slight hunch that it was one of the objects that The Watcher desired from the vessel. However, she didn't recall the same occurrences during her first defeat; probably because she was out cold afterwards, unable to handle the guilt and regret that she felt.

She didn't feel either of those things this time around. All she felt was anger, even though her kindness had been returned to her. This man, lying in front of her, the man she just strangled to death, knew her and what she was doing, but how? How could a human know of this? Unless he wasn't human, and she had just killed someone from her supposed world, someone who could've helped her.

Ruben came into the room the next second. If he was shocked at the scene in front of him, he didn't show it. He was probably already fully aware of what had occurred a mere few minutes ago. He didn't say anything, however, which surprised Bethany. She was sure he would be furious with her for being so careless.

The words: The Watcher doesn't like to clean up messes, stuck out in her brain form one of her training sessions.

Suddenly, flashes of blue and red lights could be seen outside the window. Bethany began to panic. The receptionist must have notified the police prior to making herself known in the room.

"We have to get out of here," Ruben advised, and Bethany agreed. She'd come too far to get caught now.

With a flick of his fingers, Ruben created a doorway in the room, and they stepped through just as the cops entered into the building. And just like that, they were gone, safe of any consequences. She knew, however, that she was going to get off that easy with The Watcher though.
